When I first pulled up to the place, I noticed a large pile of trash in the doorway to the left of the building and a couple of homeless people hanging out there as well as the cross the street. Well, I certainly have sympathy for homeless people, it’s not necessarily what I want to see when I’m renting through VRBO. The apartment itself was OK except for the very limited windows in the place. There are two small windows in the living room, which are covered with some sort of opaque covering so they do not let in hardly any light. There is a small window and a glass door in the bedroom, but they do not contribute much light to the place. I had difficulty checking in and did not understand that the combination block to the right side of the doorway contained the key that I would need to get into the apartment. I thought I was using that lock to unlock the door. So the directions were not that clear.

Trash day requires trash to be set out on the streets, so yes, there will be trash outside on occasion. Pittsburgh, like most cities, has a small, harmless homeless population. Our apartment is a "row" building, so windows by default can only be in the front or back of the home, but we do have plenty of lighting for setting the mood. We do have a 4.99 / 5 communication score, and we take pride in our crystal clear communication - but our guests do need to read the full check in process. For future guests - we promise it's easy. Only our front main door requires a key (fire regulations require a physical "push bar" to open the door and those have a key entrance) but the apartment itself is a unique generated code. We don't use any keys at our properties, as an extra layer of security. We look forward to welcoming our future guests!

This place is a very nice place to stay. The decor is so fun and they have everything available that you could need. The owner was available for all kinds of recommendations for our time in the city. Would definitely pick this place again!

Nice little retreat

This was definitely a great spot to stay in Pittsburgh! The location is walkable and we navigated to PNC Park and the museums (Children's and the Warhol) from the location. Parking was FREE, just be sure to put the correct license plate on the form provided by PM. The space had everything we needed. Bed was comfortable and ample bathroom and kitchen supplies were on deck. If you like coffee, there is a nice little coffee shop next door. Thanks for sharing your space. Would stay here again if in Pittsburgh!

Stayed three nights in July. Prompt communication, check in and check out. Great location with bars, restaurants, and walking distance to downtown area, stadiums, or cheap uber rides to anywhere else of interest. Area can “seem” sketchy if arriving at night, but was perfectly safe to walk around even at midnight. Parking was readily available and convenient. Will stay here again.

Great spot within walking distance of PNC park. Easy parking, we took host’s advice and used rideshare or walked and just left our car in its spot. Kitchen had everything we needed. Bed was super comfy and the AC was super cool. Very clean property. Host was very responsive and helpful. Would stay again!
