About this property
Cozy 1.5-acre retreat carved out of an 11-acre ranch minutes from McKinney
Experience the charm of rural living with a contemporary touch at our cozy modern tiny home, affectionately named the Hummingbird. Situated just a 13-minute drive from the Historic Downtown McKinney square, where you'll discover an array of shopping options, fabulous restaurants, pubs, wine tasting, and more.
Built in 2023, this beautiful tiny home rests on 1.5 acres within an 11-acre ranch, offering glimpses of livestock, chickens, and donkeys. Boasting one main bedroom, a loft area with low ceilings, a full bathroom, a complete kitchen, and laundry facilities, the Hummingbird exudes a warm and modern farmhouse ambiance, seamlessly connecting you to the surrounding landscape.
Nestled among the trees on the property, you'll unwind with all the modern comforts of home. After exploring downtown or attending to your business, return to the Hummingbird to relax with friends indoors or at the private fire pit area with your favorite beverage.
Prime Location:
Our tiny home is conveniently close to various wedding venues, just five miles from Tupps Brewery, and an 18-minute drive to TPC Craig Ranch, the new home of the Byron Nelson golf tournament.
Downtown McKinney's attractions include several restaurants (Local Yocal is a favorite), wineries, pubs, bars, shops, and festivals. Other notable spots in downtown McKinney include The Yard (a family-friendly restaurant/bar with outdoor games and fire pits), Ricks Steakhouse (featuring live music on weekends), Harvest (offering healthy farm-fresh food from local sources), and Landon Winery.
The Hummingbird:
Our tiny home can accommodate up to six guests, but four is ideal for comfort, featuring one queen-sized bed, two twin beds (loft area), and a sleeper sofa (full). The loft area contains the twin beds, suitable for kids and acceptable for adults, although primarily designed for rest as the ceiling height is 4ft. High-speed WIFI and one TV with connectivity options for Hulu, Prime Video, Roku, HBO, etc., are provided.
The kitchen is well-equipped with basic cooking essentials, plates, bowls, cups, mugs, utensils, kitchen towels, coffee maker, coffee, creamer, and more. Laundry facilities include a washer and dryer.
The backyard offers a delightful swing, chairs, cornhole, a grill, and a fire pit, providing a perfect setting for relaxation and entertainment.

We are from this area, grew up in Allen, traveled a bit after the military and college, only to come back a set roots where it all began. We love country living, as that is how we grew up, and thought it would be cool to allow others to experience that through a short-term rental.
Why they chose this property
We love open spaces and nature, while still being close to modern amenities.
What makes this property unique
