This is one of the best houses I’ve rented on VRBO. Perfect for my family. We also loved the overall property, general store, turf for kids to play games/connect 4, coffee shop. The staff were all wonderful. Location was very close to Custer State Park, Wind Cave NP, Mt Rushmore, and many other things in the Black Hills. I would actually consider coming back to the area specifically to stay at this property.
Perfect location and rental for time away in the Black Hills of South Dakota. We enjoyed the wonderful, well-appointed, tastefully decorated and immaculately clean stay! Host was responsive and available but also splendidly non-intrusive. Rental had everything we needed and more :)
Stayed at the Hills Hideaway for 3 days with my husband, our children (ages 10, 12) and my 80-year-old in-laws. It was perfect! The house is beautifully done, comfortable, and has a fully stocked kitchen ready for cooking. I personally loved the ability to sit on the back porch with my coffee in the morning. It was so peaceful to watch the deer and turkeys. The location is also great. Just far enough outside Custer to be peaceful but within minutes of all the restaurants and shops in town. It was about 10 minutes to Sylvan Lake/Custer State Park and 30 minutes from Mount Rushmore. We couldn't have loved our stay more.
