Host communication was awesome. The place is great, and the garage is well stocked with snorkels, beach chairs, umbrellas, stroller, etc etc etc. The unit is super close to the pool (2 minute walk) and you can see the ocean from the back patio. Grass area for the kids to play. The unit itself is nice, nice beds pillows towels.

This was one of the nicest places we have stayed at!Beautiful grounds, fabulous condo, very well appointed.The location was close to the club house and near the terrific oceanfront pathway. The owner was great and easy to communicate with.The condo was well arranged with bedrooms at either end and 2 great bathrooms.Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The host Richard is very responsive and communicative during the online booking and checkout process. We love Halii Kai and this unit is very close to the pool and easy to access. The unit is well stocked and the garage has great chairs and boogie boards to use at the local beaches. While toward the end of our trip we got a little weather, Kona is always a great place to visit.

We had the best time! The condo is amazing and super close to the pool. But the vacation started even before we arrived- Richard (the host) sent us a really helpful suggested itinerary to help us plan our week, which was amazing.This is a great option for families as there are so many kid friendly amenities- high chair and pack n play, stroller, pool/beach toys, towels etc. You just have to show up! It’s super quiet and peaceful too. Despite being right between the Marriott and Hilton properties (which are sprawling and busy), the condo complex is very quiet and calm. Richard is super responsive and kind, responding immediately whenever we had a question. (We did not have many questions!)We loved our stay and would definitely return!

Awesome location, fabulous unit!

We have been coming to Hali’i Kai for years and this year we were lucky to stay in this wonderful unit. Great floor plan, easy walk to pool with pool bar and fitness center, also a very clean and nicely furnished unit. We plan to book here again!

The place is very nicely decorated with all the amenities you need. We even were able to use the beach chairs and snorkeling gear. The location was great for a wedding we attended at the Fairmont Orchid and the area felt very safe and luxurious.

We like everywhere we have been in the state of Hawaii so far, but our favourite place is the Kohala Coast on the Big Island because it's not too busy and there is a lot to see and do.

Why they chose this property

Once we settled on Hawaii for our second home, we visited all the islands and found the Big Island most attractive for our tastes. We vacationed at many resorts in the Kona and Kohala areas. All were fun, but when we decided to buy a home, the Kohala Coast was the clear choice, and Hali'i Kai at Waikoloa Beach with its incredible ocean-front Ocean Club was our hands-down favorite!

What makes this property unique

A typical days starts off having a cup of Kona coffee on the Lanai and then a walk in the sunshine along the coastal fishermen's trail to the Hilton and Kings shops. Next it's down to the pool for a dip and some reading. Lunch is at the condo and then off to sight see, golf or hit a beach. Happy hour is back at the pool to enjoy the sunset and then home to grill on our Lanai or go out for a nice dinner.
