Well appointed two bedroom apartment in beautiful hillside villa. Casa del Viento meaning 'House of Wind' perched on a hilltop overlooking the Bay of Tenacatita in La Manzanilla. This architecturally designed house captures beautiful pacific breezes, while encompassing a view of the jungle and mountains. Swimming pool and lounge area are shared.
Sleeps 4 people located a 12 minute walk to the village and playa. The master bedroom features king size bed with Egyptian cotton linens, thirsty luxurious Turkish towels, waffle robes, hair dryer, ample closet built-ins, air conditioning, ceilings fans, safe vault, en-suite with soaker tub, separate glass mosaic shower, double sinks set into polished concrete counter tops and polished granito floors. The second bedroom has two twin beds/king bed, ceiling fan, ample closet built-ins, and separate en-suite. Lovely open space dining/living area with trestle table, comfortable furniture and patio where you can reach out and touch the trees.Well equipped kitchen leading to a patio where you can dine in privacy overlooking the swimming pool and gardens. The third bedroom which is available upon request has a Queen bed with a room divider as a door.

Lovely place. The manager met us in town as it was a bit tricky to find. Our gps kept saying we’d arrived. Beautiful woodwork in the home. Amazing valley view. The upper unit would have ocean as well and that would be the ultimate. Another time. Thx

Loved the apartment. Well equipped. Gorgeous mountain views. Comfie beds. Great Pool. Glad we had a car but is doable without. Would have liked a microwave but other than that can't say it was lacking in anything.....thanks for the stay! Ruth and Jeff

This home was serenity for us all. Beautiful interior and simple but elegant furnishings. The pool was the perfect temperature and a welcome relief from the heat. We brought along our 86 year old mom, thank good she is spry as there are 149 steps from the bottom to the house. 69 stairs to get from the house to the pool. Other things of note is that there is no ocean view but we enjoyed looking out over the trees and town. We had to ask for the third bedroom even though it was advertised as a three bedroom home. Only two bedrooms have AC should that be something desired. Kitchen was sufficient for one person only. A great price for a nice home.

SURPRISED! We thought we had rented a 2 bedrooms unit !

Rented the two bedroom apartment for two weeks but found out later that the second bedroom in the same unit cost me another third of the original price, even thought it is still advertised as a 2 bedroom unit without mention of the extra fees. The house is situated at the top of a hill and some taxis refused to drive us there because of the condition of the roads. From the bottom steps, I counted 120 steep steps to reach our rented apartment and 40 steps to the swimming pool. Very challenging for older people or young children. The hot water worked sporadically. The 12 minutes walk to the village is very misleading and did not account for the 120 stairs! HomeAway did not appear to care about our situation and offered no help. For our first experience with HomeAway, it was very disappointing.

Beautiful La Manzanilla and Mountain View Villa are both gems.

Mountain View Villa is a beautiful place to stay. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment. It was spacious and private for 2 couples. The kitchen was well stocked to meet our cooking needs. The view was spectacular. Pool area was nice . The walk to town was very doable. We would certainly stay here again. Mucho gracias !

Beautiful comfortable property

We loved Casa Del Viento. The views across the valley are beautiful, the apartment was large and comfortably furnished with enough room for dancing tango in the living room. Location is quiet and the steps down the mountain provide quick access to the town plus plenty of exercise. We also enjoyed the pool almost every day. Overall a great place to stay.

We had a wonderful week in La Manz and we and our friends enjoyed our stay in this lovely home situated high up in a quiet neighbourhood about10 minute walk from town. The house was well appointed and very comfortable for two couples. We had a car but walked everywhere and especially enjoyed the pool at the end of our walk from town! Juani, the manager was lovely and very helpful with our questions. Thank you so much!

First thoughts and words were WOW

Highly recommended rental in La Manzanilla. We stayed 1 week in the terrace suite, all I can say is wow! My expectations were high going in after looking at the pics, again wow, now repeat every morning as you have your coffee and look over Tenicatita Bay and then again watching every sunset. Great hosts, just starting to plan our return.
