Experience unparalleled beachfront living in this expansive two-story home located in the exclusive gated community of Las Conchas. This privately gated property offers four spacious bedrooms and four bathrooms, ensuring both comfort and privacy for your group.

ARCHITECTURE AND INTERIOR DESIGN
The home features stunning artistic brick domes in the dining and master bedrooms, along with floor-to-ceiling tinted glass that showcases breathtaking views of the Sea of Cortez. The great room is crowned with a 22-foot high cathedral brick dome ceiling topped by a gold cupola, allowing natural light to flood the space. The home is furnished with imported pieces from the Philippines, including a unique whale’s tail coffee table, grand white pillars, an automatic gas fireplace, and a Bose stereo system.

KITCHEN AND DINING
The large fully equipped kitchen includes a side-by-side refrigerator, high-speed halogen cooking center, dishwasher, microwave, drinking water system, and satellite HDTV. The dining area is surrounded by tinted glass walls, offering stunning ocean views as you dine.

BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS
The master bedroom features floor-to-ceiling ocean views, a king-size bed, and a cathedral brick dome ceiling. The master bath includes glass block walls, custom cabinetry, and granite countertops.
The second main floor bedroom offers two queen beds with hand-carved headboards and a private custom bathroom.
The downstairs Whale bedroom includes a hand-carved king-size bed and a large custom bathroom.
There is also large TV center, with a memory foam queen-size sofa bed and a private bathroom that can be used as a fourth bedroom

Enjoy a large private upstairs veranda with a gas barbecue, perfect for relaxing afternoons or stargazing. The property also features a covered porch, beautiful whale mosaic, hot and cold water beach shower, and easy beach access.

HOUSE RULES

Beachfront and Ahhhhmazing!

This house is right off the beach, setback for privacy, has a great secluded patio, huge open area with fireplace, and large bedrooms with large bathrooms. Everything is updated, but remains an iconic, Las Conchas beach house, with Mexican flair, and simple vibes. Great pace for family or groups. Can’t wait to return!

Owner should have house better preoared

Architecturally beautiful great beach location. Oceano, the management company was outstanding at responding to issues. A/C worked great. Cons: lots of ants on cabinets, mouse dropping in every lower cabinet, no umbrella on deck, micro and oven not functional (manager got fixed), TVs did not work (management fixed small tv), not so much as a broom for cleaning(I.e. a broken glass, or if someone got sick), mouse ran across kitchen 2x while cooking (we elected to eat out every night after), no access to a washer and dryer. House is for sale and in need of updating. None of this was managements fault..I would rent again from them but probably not this property.

Disappointing stay

Given the price point for this property we were extremely disappointed. No working TV, house was dirty upon arrival, no measuring cups, no hand mixer, fans were loud and not in good condition (unusable), bottom floor smelled of cat urine, no working lights in the master bedroom, dishes were chiped, cups, utensils, and plates were dirty in the cabinet, 4th bedroom isn't a bedroom-it has 2 pullout sofas, and no way to lock the house when going to the beach unless you went out the front door and walked all the way around! We love going down and we do go down every few months-this house will not be chosen!

The Good: 3 bedrooms with own bathroom; fourth "bedroom" had fold-out couch (not so good) but also had its own bathroom; great views, huge entry and living room area, mostly well-equipped kitchen, nice dining area with beautiful views, clean, beach front, heating worked great (on cold nights)-Not so good: overall "dated" furnishings; living room huge but not very user friendly (had a tile "coffee table" in shape of tale of whale; very nice but not very practical); not sufficient kitchen counter space; only one large TV in the 4th bedroom with not sufficient seating; most linens (sheets, pillows, etc) need replacements; no mop! One night it rained pretty hard and water seeped in various areas and had nothing to mop with-contacted Oceano via phone call and email (no answer on either one), had to use bath towels. Wi-fi available but weak; had to call Oceano to get password info (should be available upon arrival).Overall, I would recommend to a friend, but with reservations. I believe that there are probably better properties for the price in Las Conchas.

The impression if the property was good. The house looks nice on the pictures.

My experience at whale of tale was not a good one at all. To start of the A/C did not work on te downstairs floor. The fourth bedroom is not really a bedroom it's a converted living room into a bedroom where the only TV in the house is there. There is no bed but rather a sofa bed. The house is infected with cockroaches LOTS of them. To get to the beach you have to go around a few bushes and rocks. It's not really a beachfront home. The dinning room had no light as we were never able to turn it on nor the patios. So they are a waste at night. We mentioned it to afew maintenance guys who came around while we were there and they only said someone else would come fix and never did. We ran out of water everyday we were there and were left without any water service for 5+ hours. Our overall experience at whale of a tale was bad and would difenetly not stay there again.

Hello, Diana, it is a shame the house caused you so much dislike. The lights in the house have never been an issue, this house is rented a lot by big groups that come back each year. On our website oceano-rentals.com, the house does advertise the 4th bedroom as TV room / 4th bedroom. It is not our intention by false advertising. We have never heard an issue with roaches we will send the pest control company to inspect this although it's sprayed on a monthly basis. When you checked in we gave you the emergency telephone number on which you called several times and never mentioned the light situation. we would have gladly indicated how these turn on nor the lower A/c unit not functioning correctly. The water situation is very critical in town we mention to each and every renter about this issue and that they should try and save as much water as possible. We filled up the tank of all the homes on a daily basis which causes an extra effort of time and money for you renters to have a great time. We purchased water from the water trucks although the water service is off in the entire city due to maintenance. Upon checking out we asked how your stay was and the response was it was ok except for the water situation. If you would have mentioned all the rest we could have helped out and solved all issues since the start.

Great trip with some disappointments

We stayed in the house with our children and grandson for a total of 6 nights. The house is beautiful, kitchen is decently stocked with most things that you need for meal prep. The balconies, sitting room and kitchen areas were the most used, missing the beautiful beach views. On the first day that we checked in we arrived after the office had closed but our keys and a map were left and we had no issues finding the house. A maintenance guy even stopped by and made sure we had his number should the need arise. Everyone was nice and accommodating. On day 5 we lost water in the house. we called the maintenance guy and the rental office, leaving several messages with no response. A repair person from the leasing office showed up and was going to take care of the water issue. it took 6 hours for us to get water again with no follow ups or updates what so ever. water went out again the following day with a better response time. Customer service is severely lacking, even when brought to their attention that customer service needs improvement still no improvement. no one from the leasing office apologized for the inconvenience- first step in customer service. I asked several questions and most were ignored and never responded to. there was no compensation or further follow up regarding the issue. I was informed that the leasing company was going to see what they could do for us regarding some sort of compensation and a week after we checked out we continue to be ignored.

Wind comes thru the doors, water came in from the rain in the master, the grill was dirty and needs to be replaced, chipped plates, pull out couch didn't work (would flip closed when you lay down on it). Had to ask to get clean sheets and towels (stayed 10 days). TV is downstairs and there was spiders, cob webs, and very dirty. Not what you expect when paying this much for a property. Will not go back to this property!

Beautiful property

This home it’s a very beautiful property! It was super clean and really well maintained. We had no problems whatsoever during our stay. It is directly on the water although there are some sand dunes with shrubs right between the property and the waterfront so it’s set back just a bit from the beach. But not much and we had direct access and unlimited views of the sea. The fourth bedroom is actually a sofa bed in a family room, but it was downstairs with its own bathroom and a door that closed so privacy wasn’t a problem. I do wish the property provided bottled water since most rentals do that. The filtered water at the sink and refrigerator was a mere trickle and not functional. 100% I would stay here again!

Whale of a Tale

Whale of a Tale is a beautiful house, right on the beach. We have stayed here before and loved this house, so we returned this year, even though we were charged a full five day payment when the owner's strict cancellation policy would not let us postpone a visit to Rocky Point during the pandemic. We enjoyed our return visit this year, with a few caveats. There was only one trash bag in the kitchen, no paper towels, and no broom. Oceano, the local management company, did provide us with a broom and a few trash bags. The other problem we had was that one of the refrigerator door shelves was not fastened properly when we arrived, so we lost a bottle of wine and two bottles of salad dressing when the shelf fell out of the refrigerator. On the other hand, it is a lovely home, and generally well maintained.

House is awesome, views from patio are wonderful, location on beach could not have been better. Bring your own bottled water because the filtered water in kitchen and fridge do not work. downstairs and bedrooms windows were dirty inside and out, all window shades were filthy, loads of dust everywhere.

October Getaway

This was our second visit here. We very much enjoy this home and its proximity to the water and the fish market shopping and dining area. We lost power for a few hours but spent the time on the deck with a full moon for light. It was beautiful! We are already planning another trip next month.

Boyfriends 40th bday stay

The pictures do no justice! When we first walked in we were amazed at the size and the view of this property. It had a relaxing energy and loved how beautifully they designed the place. The ceilings with the dome light and bricks were a great touch. It was literally steps to the beach. The A/C and ceiling fans worked great and all kitchen amenities were included so it was very convenient. Each bedroom has its own huge bathroom and there was an outdoor shower to rinse off the sand after the beach! The driveway was gated so we felt secure leaving our cars on the property. We were all very happy with this property! We will definitely book here again when we’re back in Puerto Penasco.
