About this property

Cozy cabin on class A Musky Lake - Lake Big Sissabagama - Pet Friendly

Welcome to this cozy cabin that has everything needed to have a wonderful vacation at the lake. The large deck overlooking the lake has the most amazing sunrises and sunsets. Stroll down to the lake to enjoy a fire. The dock is the perfect place to rest a boat while waiting for the next fishing or boating adventure; or just watch the sunset. The shoreline, with it’s sandy beach, is great for walking and the lake itself is fabulous for swimming.

The lake, Big Sissabagama Lake, is an 805-acre fishing lake that can reach depths of 48 feet. It has a year-round fishery with above average bluegill and crappie, as well as trophy musky. Other fish include panfish, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, northern pike, and walleye. This lake has tons of structure for fish to hang out in as well as nice weed beds for fish to spawn. For more pictures of fishing in the lake look at the Big Sissabagama Lake facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/278532946835221
Scroll down to September 5th to see the kids catching northern and perch. On July 31st Brent posted a 43" Musky.

Here are some reviews of Big Sissabagama Lake:
“The lake has lots of humps and points to fish, and that they caught a 3-foot walleye on a spinnerbait in 3 feet of water.”
“The lake is good for muskie fishing, and that it's a good jerk bait lake.”
“The lake is one of their favorites to fish, especially in the fall, and that it gets some pressure.”

I live in Minneapolis and I have always loved the northwoods. Fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, hiking or, just tooling around the lake on my pontoon boat. There is nothing like the relaxing feeling you get when you get on the water and hear the waves lapping against the side of your boat. I've always wanted to own a piece of the northwoods and with your help I am able afford have this cabin and use it when it is not rented. THANK YOU! I really appreciate you.

What makes this property unique

I had been looking to purchase a cabin in the perfect setting for about three years. I was looking for a wooded setting on a great lake that has clear water with a sandy bottom. I also wanted to have a restaurant or bar nearby and the neighbors need to be far enough away that you feel like you are somewhat alone in the woods, yet friendly enough that when you do see them it is always a pleasure. When I first visited this site, I knew it was the one. Everything about this spot is perfect. It's up off the water but not too far. The view is unobstructed by anything but trees. Marshland on the other side of the lake stops people from building, keeping the view pristine. The sunsets are amazing!! Sit on the deck and watch the loons and otters swim by. Islands give a sense of mystery. There are a good number of bays to explore. Many areas of structure within the lake make for better fishing beds.
The fishing is astounding, but I’ve already written about that on another part of the page. The restaurant is Pine Ridge, just a seven-minute walk from the cabin. And the rest will be evident when you arrive and see the setting.
