The Neighborhood:

Rocky Ridge Retreat is located in an established Post Falls neighborhood, giving you the convenience of being close to some of our favorite local spots while still having a whole home to come back to.

One of the biggest perks is the location! Q’emiln Park is just 2 blocks away, with swimming, river access, hiking and rock-climbing trails. Cross the bridge and you'll find local restaurants, breweries and more within easy reach.

A little about the neighborhood: This is an older, lived-in residential neighborhood with families, children and pets. Several neighboring homes have dogs, so you may occasionally hear barking or normal neighborhood activity during your stay.

Street parking can also be limited at times, which is why we ask guests to follow the home's designated parking instructions and not rely on street parking.

Rocky Ridge is a great fit for guests who want to experience Post Falls like a local—close to the river, parks, dining and everyday neighborhood life rather than tucked away in an isolated vacation community.

Getting Around:

One of our favorite things about Rocky Ridge is how much you can enjoy without getting in the car.

🚶 Walk from the house:

Q’emiln Park is just 2 blocks from the front door, with Spokane River access, swimming, trails, rock climbing and beautiful places to explore. Walk across the bridge into Post Falls for local restaurants, breweries and drinks—then enjoy an easy walk back home.

🌲 Centennial Trail:

The Centennial Trail is nearby and offers miles of paved trail for walking and biking along the Spokane River and throughout the area.

🚗 By Car:

Rocky Ridge also provides convenient access to I-90, making it easy to explore North Idaho and the surrounding area.

Downtown Coeur d’Alene — approximately 15 minutes

Spokane International Airport — approximately 30 minutes

Silverwood Theme Park — approximately 25 minutes

Easy access to Hayden, Liberty Lake and Spokane Valley

🚕 Uber & Lyft:

Rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft are available in the area, although availability and wait times can vary.

🚙 Parking — Please Read:

Guest parking is available in the designated driveway area only. The garage is not available for guest vehicles or parking.

This is an established residential neighborhood, and street parking can be limited, particularly during busy times. Please plan for your group's vehicles accordingly and follow all posted and provided parking instructions.

Other Things to Note:

✔ Guest Check-In Form & ID

A guest check-in form and guest agreement will be sent shortly after booking and must be completed within 48 hours. A valid government-issued ID is required for the primary guest. Required check-in information must be completed before access information and your door code are provided.

🪜 Stairs & Accessibility — Please Read

This home requires stairs. Guests must climb stairs to access the main living level, and all three bedrooms are located upstairs on the top floor. There are no bedrooms on the main living level.

Please review the listing photos carefully and make sure the home's layout is appropriate for everyone in your group before booking.

🚗 Parking, Garage & Boats

Parking is available for up to 3 vehicles maximum in the designated on-site parking areas. Street parking may be limited, so please plan accordingly.

The garage is not available for guest use or vehicle parking during your stay.

Boat trailer parking is available. If you plan to bring a boat or trailer, you must notify us prior to arrival so we can confirm parking arrangements.

Interaction with Guests:

Rocky Ridge is professionally managed by First Choice Vacation Rentals, a local husband-and-wife team right here in North Idaho. We love helping our guests experience the area like a local—not just as a visitor.

You’ll enjoy complete privacy during your stay with convenient self check-in, but we’re always just a message away if you need us.

Every stay includes access to our digital guest guide, filled with our favorite local restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, trails, parks, activities and insider recommendations throughout Post Falls and the surrounding North Idaho area.

Looking for a great dinner across the bridge, somewhere to grab coffee before exploring Q’emiln Park, a favorite local trail, or ideas for a day trip? Just ask. We’re happy to point you toward the places we actually recommend to our own guests, friends and family.

Our goal is simple: the privacy and comfort of having an entire home, with the thoughtful service and attention you’d expect from a boutique stay.

The home was SUPER clean , organized , and minimal but had everything you needed :) plenty of towels and bedding . The beds were super comfortable! And I LOVED that they had ceiling fans and standing fans in each room. Air system was super effective and the house smelled wonderful. The stairs are not for the faint of heart ! But totally manageable lol . The couch in the family room was super comfy and the recliners were great . The kitchen table had a foot runner under it making it great for family game night :) Overall , a wonderful stay :)

Perfect retreat

The home was very well-kept, exactly what we were expecting, and perfect for our brief stop in northern Idaho! It's in a quiet neighborhood close to a nice park with a great trail area to explore. I felt like I could reach anyone if I needed to, but I never needed to! We really enjoyed our stay there!

Absolutely fabulous. Clean home, great Keurig, fluffy thick towels, comfy bed and linens. Just like home for a week. And loved the air con and ceiling fans, it was really hot! Easy access to freeway, and a short walk to Park trails and beach. My first pick if we visit again.

Great Home

Overall the home was great and a central location between Coeur d'Alene and Spokane. Outdoor grill needed to be cleaned better but the rest of the home was very well maintained.

Clean and perfectly located!

Plenty of room for our whole family. Clean and cozy for our relaxing vacation near the river. This house had everything we needed. We had a small question and sent a text and it was responded to within 5 minutes. Great communication. Can’t wait to return!

Perfect place near Couer D’Alene

We were visiting the area for a marathon in Couer D’Alene. This house was the perfect location - quiet neighborhood w/beautiful hiking and rock climbing within walking distance. It was an easy 15-ish min. drive to Couer D’Alene each day. The house was immaculate and it had everything we could have needed. The house is spacious and the kitchen is well equipped. Beds are comfortable. So many unexpected small details (like ponytail holders & bath salts in the bathroom). The owners were easy to communicate with. It was a pleasure staying here! Our family hopes to be back soon!!

Tired House

This could be a beautiful property but it is in desperate need of repairs and updating. We were welcomed by a driveway so steep my SUV bottomed out and again by very rickety, crooked stairs leading to the front door. While I'm sure the gazebo would be great to relax in the only way to access it is by climbing a very steep hill in the front yard. Inside, the spaces were in need of repair. The primary bathroom had tiles missing from the vanity, towel hooks on the back of the door were barely hanging from their screws and the hand towel ring kept falling off the wall. With a little love this home could be wonderful.
