First off, Rosa is an incredible host. She responded faster than anybody, and was super helpful with any question we had.The place itself is exactly what we were looking for - out in the middle of nowhere, with neighbors well out of earshot. Stargazing was great.
Best birthday weekend! Very clean and comfortable home, new hot tub, and Rosa was so amazing. The sunrises and sunsets from the house are some of the best I’ve ever seen. I will be back!
Stayed here with my friend. Host treated us with a suprise when we got there: beautifull charcuterie board and chilled white. Nice touch! Accommodations were perfect. Close to Joshua Tree and Kelso Dunes.
Went there with my husband, 9 y/o daughter and 2 small dogs. Lots of outdoor space to wander about and allow the pups to roam (there is a tall fence around the entire property). You're right on the foothills of the mountain, so you need to listen out for coyotes.
We were able to entertain ourselves there: there's a nice deck by the pool, watched a movie on the big outdoor projector and hopped in the Jacuzzi. We had a few meals outside, too.
We were looking for a location pretty far away from the city, and we certainly got it. We usually only left the property one time per day. It's probably a 25-minute drive from this location to the far East entrance of Joshua Tree, which we visited for a few hours each day.
If you don't have four-wheel drive, you absolutely need to follow the directions that are provided, not Google maps. And if you can help it, it's best for you to arrive while there is still sunlight. We brought our own telescope, but there is also have one that you could use here. You may not even need it since the sky is so clear, we saw more shooting stars in the 4 days that we were there, then I have in 5 years in LA. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this location. If you want to disconnect and enjoy some real peace and quiet, this is the location for you.
We enjoyed our Thanksgiving holiday here. It was definitely a memorable location and would love to come back here.
One of the best experiences we’ve had so far. The property is beautiful, with incredible stargazing and a level of quiet that’s hard to find. Rosa was a thoughtful and attentive host, she even left us a few gifts to celebrate our 5th anniversary, which was a really nice touch. As she recommended, be sure to stop by the grocery store before arriving. Once you’re there, you won’t feel like leaving. The AC worked great, the kitchen had everything we needed, and our dog loved having space to roam safely within the fenced property. We made the most of the pool during the day and switched to the hot tub once it cooled down—being able to see the stars from there was a highlight. We’d absolutely come back.
