Everything was great but one major issue
Our family decided to spend the weekend in Denver for our son’s birthday, and so we booked this property for our stay.
The good: The house was easy to find, in a nice neighborhood, clean, comfortable, and as advertised (mostly. It states that it has a “kitchenette” however no sink, stove or even a hot plate, so kitchenette is a very generous term for a table with a coffee pot and a microwave.)
The major flaw: the reason that I must give this property such a low rating is that the house is a shared home (not such a big deal), and the door which separates the vacation rental from the other home is an etched glass pocket door, which leaves basically zero privacy!
That evening as we were sitting in the living room, I saw the light turn on in the adjacent space and a man’s shadow walked by. My wife expressed an immediate desire to leave, and had we the option, we would have left immediately. Then, that night, I could hear all sorts of noises coming from the neighbor (nothing bad, just zero privacy), and assumed that they could also hear everything. The other unnerving thing was that our side had no lock, so the people in the other space actually could come in at any time without our knowledge. I woke up several times over the course of the two nights thinking that I was hearing something at that pocket door, so we put chairs next to the door so that if someone did come in, it would at least alert us.
I urge the owner to replace the pocket door with a two doors, immediate.
