3 bedroom, 2.5 bath modern home with great SF city views.
I recently moved back to the bay area after living in Los Angeles for several years. I grew up here, so this was a bit of a homecoming. I was a management consultant, worked as a professional actor for a while in hollywood (was in a few shows and commercials), but then went back to school to become an attorney. I love travelling, love the outdoors, and all water sports. I'm an aspiring surfer, and very comfortable out in the waves. I travel quite a bit and stay with my family at times (they live south of san francisco) so I am able to make my home available for rent part of the time. San Francisco is an amazing, world class city, and I love living here!
Mark purchased this House in 2014
Why Mark chose Noe Valley
Noe Valley is an amazing neighborhood. Very central and easy to commute in and out, yet quiet and serene, with gorgeous homes and a real feeling of community. I was lucky to get this home - Noe Valley has become one of, if not the most sought after neighborhood in San Francisco. The home is historic, yet modern. It has so much natural light and great space. The kitchen is equipped to let you cook an amazing meal. The backyard is quiet and peaceful, with gorgeous views. I love my house, and I'm confident you will too :)
What makes this House unique
High ceilings, natural light - 3 skylights in the dining room. The view from the master bedroom is quintessential San Francisco. Terraced backyard with gorgeous cypress trees that create a peaceful canopy above you. An escape within San Francisco.

A Great Way to see SF
Mark is a gracious host and his home is spacious, comfortable, and full of light and magnificent views! The back deck also provides a great place to take an afternoon break. It is a short walk from the house into the heart of Noe Valley and the Castro and transit is close by; you can take the 24 bus back up the hill. This was a wonderful place for our family to stay as we explored San Francisco. We look forward to coming back. Thanks!
Best Location in San Fran
Super Cool Location
Pleasure to stay there
Lovely house, very steep road!
Very comfortable house, though the ground floor rooms felt a little detached from the main house. The living area and main bedroom was delightful. Also, the house is on an extremely steep hill, I mean really steep so do be aware.
Clean, nicely decorated, good host
Mark was a very accommodating host. His home is clean and well-stocked. The decor is modern yet warm and inviting. The view from the terrace, especially at night, is gorgeous. I would stay here again and recommend it to others. Note that the street is very steep so caution is needed when parking and unpacking you car. Authentic San Francisco.
Definitely return, but would pack a leaf blower.
Very nice house. Comfortable and spacious. Very clean. Great location. Only reason for a four star is the back yard and decks areas would be very nice to use if they weren’t covered In leaves and debris. Was told the yard guy did no show up.
Thank you for the great review, and thank you so much for choosing my home for your stay. I do apologize that the backyard wasn’t totally cleared. Leaves build up very quickly because there are many trees behind and around the house, and it gets windy many evenings.
Ordinarily, I have a yard maintenance service that clears the yard before stays, but they missed a scheduled appointment, so the yard was a bit messy. I apologize for that, but I’m glad you enjoyed otherwise! Thanks again.
Lovely house in a residential area of San Francisco
Well equipped and comfortable house. You feel at home! Noe Valley is a nice area with restaurants and cafes. Steep road, not recommended for disabled people but the parking is easy.
There are several great Italian restaurants within walking distance. La Ciccia on 20th is one of the best in San Francisco, though it is critical to make a reservation well ahead of time. We really like Lupa Trattoria on 24th as well. More low key, but excellent food.
Many great coffee shops nearby. Martha's Coffee is located just 2 blocks away on Church, and there is another location on 24th. Bernie's is another great local place. Philz coffee nearby is a San Francisco favorite (on 24th and Douglas). There is also a starbucks on 24th - all just a 5-15 minute walk from the house!
Many, many shops and cafes on 24th street, and a number of great places on 20th.
The famous and trendy Mission district is also a 15-20 minute walk or 5 minute drive away. Some of the very best mexican food in the country, along with countless bars, cafes, boutiques and other unique places.
The home is 1/2 block from a bus stop - buses can take you anywhere in the city if you don't want to drive!
The marina, Golden Gate Park, Chinatown, Japantown, Golden Gate Bridge, North Beach and Haight Ashbury districts are all around a 15 minute drive away - take an uber, lyft (incredibly easy to get in SF!) or taxi anywhere you want to go.
