About this property

Fallview Cabin PA Grand Canyon - Wellsboro & Finger Lakes Wineries - Corning NY

Take a hike on 160 acres of woods and fields, or take an easy drive to local lakes, Grand Canyon, Corning Glass Museum, Watkins Glenn and Seneca Lake Wineries. Our full handhewn log home includes 3 levels. The lower level includes a Bedroom w/Full Bed, Full Bath, and den w/pool table. Mainfloor has: 2 Bedrooms - 1 Queen Bedroom & 1 Bedroom w/Queen, Single and Child's bed. Also1 Full Bath, Kitchen and Living Room. Spacious Loft Area includes 4 Single beds and Full Bath. Watch movies, shoot some pool, listen to music, read a book by the gas fire and enjoy the wildlife in the fields outside your window while sipping your coffee or tea. Deer, turkey and a rare bear may be seen. Go outside and enjoy games on the spacious lawn, walk the fields and woods, and finish the day with a campfire and smores under the brilliant stars.
This is a large home but we limit the number of guests to 8 unless other arrangements are made in advance.
Property is spring fed, large parties should be prepared to conserve water usage during summer drought. Please note there is no Cable/Dish — the tv is used for viewing DVD’s— we have an extensive library of films. A large screen SMART tv allows you to access your subscriptions to Netflix, Prime, Hulu, Disney, etc. Fiber Optics have arrived— and we have Internet service! We find we get decent but not great phone reception with Verizon and ATT. Enabling WIFI calling on your device allows seamless phone service.
We do not permit our guests to hunt on the property.
Dog 40 pounds or under allowed. Pet fee is $50. Please do not just show up with your pet.
We limit vacation stays to one week.
Sadly, I have to add— if you are looking for a place to ‘Party and drink’ please look elsewhere. We want to maintain the family atmosphere, and make our home and property available for the pleasure of those seeking a more quiet getaway.

Beautiful cabin in a beautiful location

Finding Serenity

We were three couples (brothers) very much enjoyed the serenity and peaceful surrounding . The house was beautiful and enormous, overall a great rental for the price. We loved seeing the turkeys and deer every morning.

Cabin in the woods

The perfect quiet cabin for visiting family. We were in love with the cabin as soon as we pulled in the drive. We grew up in the area and went back to visit family. The cabin was in the perfect location , easy to access and had everything we needed. Can’t wait to go back. Thank you for opening up your home to us.

Very Rustic

If you like being out there, this is your place. A/C needs work. Only room window units, some loud and noisy. Our visit was during a time of heat and humidity, which made sleeping somewhat difficult. The caretakers were nice and helpful. Would probably not go back.

Nice place to stay

This is the third time we have rented this home. The new stove is a tremendous improvement. We had a graduation party with several people and had adequate room and equipment to meet our needs. The large lawn provides a lot of space for outdoor activities. The home is located in a beautiful setting with a beautiful view of the mountains. The deck offers a great place to sit for a relaxing cup of coffee and a beautiful sunrise. My only concern is the deck is in need of repair and I am sure the owners are aware and will make the necessary improvements T

Spacious rustic cabin, Beautiful surroundings, great location for PA Grand Canyon and Watkins Glen

We had a lovely time at the Fallview Cabin. We enjoyed using the fire pit, walking the beautiful surroundings, playing frisbee and baseball on the long lawn, and my youngest son enjoyed catching butterflies on the numerous surrounding wild flowers. (And letting them go). It is in a great location between Watkins Glen and the PA Grand Canyon; and there is a Wegmans 20 minutes away. The cabin is very spacious, has an excellent selection of movies, and without Wi-Fi, is a great place to disconnect. My two oldest went through a little withdrawal the first day, however the remainder of the week they were more engaged then usual. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to see the PA Grand Canyon and Watkins Glen.

Vacation 2015 at Fallview Cabin

Our vacation began with a last minute switch from a small 2 bedroom cottage the epitome of a cabin in the woods. The pictures posted on HomeAway do not do this cabin and it's property justice. This cabin is extremely spacious. We live in Florida and look for a place to escape to when vacationing. This cabin met and exceeded our expectations. We all experienced peace and tranquility morning, noon and night. The cabin is clean, very well maintained and extremely accommodating. A bonus for my family was the movie and music CD collection was to our taste. We are devout Christians and thoroughly enjoyed the Readers Digest CDs of Hymns. While there we saw a bear, many deer, rabbits, chipmunks and 2 of the largest squirrels I have ever seen. We have a 4 year old little girl whom has only seen the wildlife Florida has to offer. Seeing the chipmunks was THE highlight of her vacation. The property consists of many hiking trails which we used several times. The beauty and peace this cabin and property offer are well worth the trip from Florida. We would be honored to stay there again.

Great Stay at Fallview Cabin

My girlfriends and I came to the area to run the Wineglass Half in Corning NY. This was the perfect place to relax pre and post race. Plenty of room for everyone and great kitchen/living room for hanging out. The porches and yard were so great. We loved watching the deer graze in the yard at all times of the day. Additionally we took advantage of the nice hike through the property. We all agree that when we come back to the area, we will stay here again.

Nice relaxing getaway for us. Enjoyed the outdoor space very much and watching the wildlife on the property. The cabin was clean and well stocked with essentials. Also close to the activities we planned- hiking & biking. Found some very good restaurants within east driving distance.

Absolutely amazing

Pictures just don't do it justice. We went up there for a family wedding. Lots of piece and quiet. We had deer coming close to the porch. Will definitely book again.

Quiet, secluded stay

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin! Great time of year to be here to see the fall foliage. We saw deer in the yard every day. We were about 30 minutes from town, so we just had to make sure we had whatever we needed before heading back for the cabin. Cabin is exactly as described. We got to meet and talk to the caretaker who lives just down the road, and that was nice. If you are looking for a place to get away from it all, this is the place.

Perfect location

We were looking for a central location for a getaway with friends. Location was perfect secluded with lots of wildlife and a fire pit. We did enjoy 2 trips to Jones Kones though!

Best Family Vacation EVER :) - Coming Back Every Summer!

First time my children, their spouses, and all of my grandchildren had been able to be together since Sept 2019 (Thanks, once again Covid). House and property were beautifully maintained. Even had movies and toys for the kids. Also had basics that we could use like sugar, flour and spices, most rentals don't do that. So expensive when you have to buy all of that - and coming from Canada, we couldn't bring it with us. Wonderful space for adults and kids alike. When we were out grandkids kept asking if they could go "home" - meaning cabin. Built so many memories there. Want to come back to this place every year.

Birthday getaway

We had the most amazing time at this property. The house is enormous and had everything we needed. We spent time hiking, playing pool, and relaxing by the campfire without even leaving the property. This was exactly what we needed to unwind. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Family Time

This home was all it was said to be. It is cozy but in no way small. There was room for many more than the three of us. It was a wonderful place for us to just be together safely. We watched the wildlife, the heavy snowfall, winds blowing that around, brilliant sunshine, had fun using the pool table and enjoyed taking a small hike although the frozen ground was a bit slick and limited us. We did not explore the surrounding area this time, but may go back sometime to do that. The home was immaculate and the caretaker even came to check on us and see if we had any questions or concerns.

Why they chose this property

My husband is an avid hunter and this property is perfect for him. I wanted our getaway place to be more than a 'hunting cabin'. Located within an easy drive of wineries, rail trails, lakes and parks, the historic towns of Wellsboro and Corning, not to mention the antiquing and restaurants...makes it a perfect place for me too!

What makes this property unique

Great place to stretch out with the family...large open spaces to be together. The getting away from it all and being together is by far the greatest benefit.
