Palomino - Lorrayne Ranch

Come and find yourself in an inspiring swath of Central Colorado at Palomino, one of the memorable, light-filled cottages at the truly unique Lorrayne Ranch. Scenically situated in the shadow of Pikes Peak, the ranch gives all of its proceeds to its partner, the J146 Foundation, a nonprofit organization that helps sex trafficking survivors, first responders, and veterans who have suffered trauma through outdoor and equine programs. Explore nearby Guffey Gorge (also known as Paradise Cove), the perfect swimming hole for cliff diving, or enjoy fishing at Eleven Mile Canyon Reservoir (Eleven Mile State Park).

Enjoy waking up and sipping coffee on the front porch in the crisp mountain air, then interacting with the 20 horses, 5 goats, 4 Scottish Highlander cows and 2 pigs on the property that may roam by and say hello. During blissful downtime, take a horse riding lesson, hike among the property’s 1,800-acre property or hike up McIntyre and Castle mountain. Play a round with friends on the 8-hole frisbee golf course. There’s also a massive furnished barn/event space available for playing games, gathering with loved ones, or simply indulging in some alone time with a good book. Great for family reunion.

This particular ranch cabin is a bright and inviting space, with plentiful windows that let in the sunlight and views of the ranch all around you. Bring your first cup of coffee outside to the steps each morning and try to spot passing elk, deer, antelope, even the occasional black bear. Back inside, you'll have a window-lined kitchen, a comfortable living area, and a sleeping loft in addition to the one bedroom.

Ian and Aj's Stay

Absolutely loved our stay here on this beautiful ranch. It was a very peaceful and relaxing stay. We loved interacting with their friendly horses and talking with the people who run the ranch. Within our first day we hiked up a mountain on the property. We loved the openness and abilty to explore the 1800 acre property as we please.

Our stay was great, it was a little chilly even though it was summer but other than that no complaints.
