Cozy cottage 100 feet from beautiful Torch Lake.

Enjoy a peaceful stay at this naturally bright, 2-bedroom, one bath cottage just 3 miles North of Alden. This terrific property offers an inviting atmosphere that will make guests feel right at home. With 1 queen bed, 1 full bed, and 1 bunk bed, there's plenty of space for everyone to relax and unwind. The cottage also features convenient amenities like a washer/dryer, heating, an outdoor firepit, and a fabulous covered deck facing the lake. Plus, there's an additional living room/indoor porch with a sofa bed for extra comfort. We are located next to a public lake access, so a swim in the lake is only a short 100 foot walk away! There is an attached carport for one car and plenty of parking for another car, as well as boat trailer parking. Only two cars and one boat trailer allowed on site. There are two boat launches close by,,,Clam River (1.5 miles), or Alden (3 miles). The quaint town of Alden also offers wonderful shops, eateries, and public tennis courts. This cottage perfect for those wanting to enjoy the lake. We live in quaint neighborhood, so guests should be respectful of our neighbors...they are all awesome. Strict quiet hours 10 PM - 8AM No glass bottles down by the firepit. Please leave shoes by the door when you walk inside. Enjoy!

The property is fine however the price is high for what you get. There is no A/C however the owners putting in the info sheet to keep lights off to avoid bugs but then having almost zero curtains to block the light when you need windows open at night. Or more than one ceiling fan and a small fan in a bedroom to cool things down. Also they stated they had kitchen supplies but these were older and the pans had the coating peeling off on most. They also stated they had wi-fi however that was crossed off when we got there with a note to use our hot spots. It was very clean and while not really having a view of the shoreline was right by a lake access I just feel that the price was quite high for what we got compared to other places we’ve stayed.

Host is very nice! House was clean. Price is very reasonable! We enjoyed the town, area and the lake! We honestly weren’t at the house very much over 4 days! Very solid house for the price!I was kinda surprised to see there’s no air conditioning. No TV’s, and no wifi and I don’t remember that being in the listing. Luckily it was a cooler week in mid July and we were out and about 90% of the time anyways let’s be honest we’re all here to be outside! Still a bit of a surprise certainly.Overall amenities are solid, couch is very comfy, beds were good overall! Huge fridge! porch was great! Price was great!Bathroom is very small, not a huge deal for us were small people. Things that need addressing are the grill was in rough shape to say the least, the coffee maker situation left a a little to be desired as did the cups available to use and the pillows on the beds as we stripped off the pillow cases at the end of our stay. The yard was huge, needed a mow though. I feel like a better/clean coffee maker, cups from this decade and new clean bedroom pillows need to happen if you’re renting out your house respectfully that’s something people should look at and have zero hesitation or trepidation. It wasn’t the end of the world by any means we were ok with our stay and the affordability, but with a few small changes we could be walking away feeling like we got real value for our money even at the affordable cost. Few small tweaks and your stay here could be great!

Convenient and clean!

We had a nice stay at this cabin, as it fit our needs well. It was nice to have bunks with a double bed in one room for kids, and a queen size bed in the other bedroom. The porch and deck were very nice to view the surroundings and we ate on the deck using the nice table most nights. The public access to the lake was very close and the fire ring out in the yard was perfect for night-time campfires and s’mores, with it slightly cool in the evenings. We liked this cabin home very much.

Nice cottage

This was a nice cottage, it worked perfectly for our family. The kids enjoyed all sleeping in the bunk bed room together. A few things were out dated: the coffee maker and the grill was so dirty and not usable. There is no TV, so I was thankful that they had a few games and books available for when it rained all day. My kids were fascinated with the neighbors free range chickens that would frequently visit the back patio and sit under our van. All in all we liked staying here.
