“Aloni “ is a unique cave house hewn in the rock of a small hill in a land of 4000m2 which you will enjoy all by yourselves. Originally a farmhouse, it was recently renovated with the utmost respect to the original structure and the environment. Grasp the essence of country living here, marvel the sea (100 m) with stunning sunsets, find your perfect swimming sandy beach in a walking distance!

The house has a size of 100m2 with three independent entrance doors providing autonomy to each of its three main rooms allocated on a single storey with slight elevations. The MAIN BEDROOM (18 m2) has a queen bed built of stone and a private bathroom. The SALA (21 m2) consists of a big room with a double futon bed and a single, stone-built bed and a smaller area which is arranged as a fully functional, equipped KITCHENETTE. There is no private bathroom in Sala, but the outdoors WC is directly accessible and very close. Sala communicates with the master bedroom through a smaller room, the NEST (6 m2), with a single bed. KATOGAS, is an old cave four steps below the Sala. It serves as a sitting area (20 m2) or a bedroom with a bell shaped twin bed, a single, stone-built bed and a private bathroom. A rooftop fixed glass contributes bright sunlight in the room and its second door leads to the sea-garden.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The house has 3 main rooms (as above). If you wish to use one of the rooms as a sitting/dining area then max occupancy is 5 or 6 persons. If on the other hand you prefer to enjoy the outdoor sitting and dining areas, you may use the 3rd room as a bedroom as well and thus increase occupancy to 9 persons (please consult the precise GROUND PLAN published with our photos for a better view).

The SEA-GARDEN, planted with colorful shrubs and native cedar trees, is furnished with an original sitting area designed in the shape of a traditional threshing floor (Grk. Aloni). It is an ideal place to marvel at beautiful sunsets and the sea (100 m). At a convenient place close to the house we have formed a shaded patio with a big table for 8 persons which serves as a dining area. Close-by, there is a CampinGaz BBQ available to all our guests.

Built the traditional way, a few steps off the main entrance, the additional OUTDOORS WC with a shower, is accessible to our guests and it is ideal for a refreshing shower after the beach.

BREAKFAST is not included but throughout your stay we provide various local delicacies that will make your vacation more enjoyable (i.e. coffee, tea and cacao for beverage as well as various local products like barley rusks, cookies, jam, cheese, salad, fruits and other seasonal goodies)

Such a perfect stay for a week with my family. Lots of outdoor spots to lounge in & a private little walkway to a secluded beach - the best sunset spot and we even spotted dolphins.

Amazing location

We really enjoyed our stay at the home. The views are phenomenal. The home is a short drive to the cute town of Pollonia where there are lots of great restaurants . Our favorite swimming spot Sarakiniko was 15 minutes away or less. You definitely need to rent a car, moped or ATV to access all the towns and beaches on Milos.

The perfect getaway!

Beautiful cave house and property! exceptional location minutes from Polonia, and a wonderful host! Coralia welcomed us with a tour of the house and a lovely bottle of wine, fruits, local honey sampling and even a sample of jam made by her mom. The home was clean, comfortable and spacious, we wish we couldve stayed longer! Highly recommend!

We were 6 and fit quite well. Host was sweet and welcoming and the location was private, beautiful and unique. We were close to town but felt like we had total privacy. Don’t stay there if you are allergic to cats, but definitely stay if you are a feline fan! We would visit again with no hesitation.

Unique home in Milos

We had a wonderful time staying at the Aloni cave house. It is very unique property located just outside of town. It is a perfect location for exploring the island and seeing all the beaches. We spent 4 nights there and would have stayed longer if time allowed. Corallia was very helpful and gave us many suggestions that made our trip great. Be sure to rent a car as traveling the island is much easier with a vehicle.

Lovely cave house. We had our own private beach for sunsets. Coralia was available to answer any questions. Lovely jams & cookies made by her mother. It’s a beautiful island & a car is necessary so this location was perfect. Also very interesting to be in a cave house. There’s a cave to explore right under the house as well

Amazing location and unique stay

We loved our stay with Corallia! She was very responsive and gave us a full tour of the villa. The property had a great outdoor area which was perfect for watching sunsets and hanging out with the sweet property cats. Also a short ATV ride from Plaka which was super convenient! Only drawbacks were that the beds were not the most comfortable and only one shower worked at a time. Probably best for 2 couples rather than 3 since there are only two main bathrooms connected to the two main bedrooms (3rd br outside ). Otherwise all was great!

Beautiful, charming, and comfortable place to stay

We absolutely loved our stay at Aloni. The kitchen was everything we needed to cook meals and the outdoor spaces were amazing to hang out in and watch the sunset. The "private" water area was perfect, there's a little bench to sit and listen to the waves crash and you've got a great view of island. There are lots of kitties living around the property and it was a joy to spend time with them. Buy some cat food and they'll follow you anywhere :) Corallia was communicative and able to adjust per our needs which was much appreciated. We highly recommend this place and hope to stay here again in the future.

One in an million!!

I can not rave enough about the Cave Home. It was like living in another world. It is as beautiful as you can imagine, inside and out. Many photographs are shown about the inside of the house, but I did not realize how WONDERFUL the outside was. We spent hours at both sunset and sunrise relaxing outside on the lounge chairs. The house is beautifully landscaped with all manner of flowers. It overlooks the countryside and you have a gorgeous view of the ocean. Our kids loved the path down the hill that led to our own rocky beach. I wish it was there right now!

Excellent place in a great location!

Our stay at the cave house, due to the pandemic, was delayed four times. Corallia was very patient and accommodating, rescheduling our stay as needed. The cave house is clean and well-suited for family and friends. We slept wonderfully in the beds. We really liked the kitchen. And the outdoor grill worked perfectly. All appliances and facilities worked perfectly. And you're so close to Pollonia or a little bit longer drive to Adamas - either way, you have the best of Milos at hand. If you know Milos, you know the value of this location. Close to Papafragas and close the the fine restaurants of Pollonia. The only downside for all of us was VRBO's shoddy handling of issues with payment. Corallia and I both worked with VRBO service to no avail to resolve the issue. It's a shame that VRBO treats its property owners so badly, especially with their payment policies. I will be raising the issue again with VRBO. Corallia was a patient and stellar owner who worked through this issue with us. Thank you, Corallia! All in all, a wonderful property!

Beautiful place !

The house is just out of the road between the airport and Pollonia, it offers an excellent base for exploring the island. There is a pathway that goes directly to the sea with a beautiful and private place to enjoy sunsets. Corallia is a wonderful host that is very reactive and makes the stay an even better experience !
