Creating beautiful interior and exterior spaces is a passion of mine, and the gardens that surround this home delight the senses. Garden beds are planted with fruits, vegetables and herbs, and guests are encouraged to harvest from the garden.
The house is set back from an eclectic urban neighborhood and the space can be surprisingly quiet for being in the middle of this active area of Eugene. At times, you may hear music and or neighborhood festivities. When you are ready to explore the historic Whiteaker neighborhood, there are many appealing options for dining, sampling craft beers and wines or hearing music within walking distance.
A separate rental cottage is located behind the house, and both the house and cottage are private, noise-free spaces. Together, the house and cottage are comfortable for up to 7 people, and both are available as vacation rentals, if you are looking to host your family or friends for a special event or holiday.
Named for Oregon's first Governor, the historic Whiteaker is considered Eugene's most eclectic neighborhood. Entrepreneurs have established popular venues in this neighborhood to share their culinary, musical, brewing and wine making talents. Most recently, the Whiteaker has become identified as Eugene's brewery district. Recently earning accolades from Esquire magazine as one of America's best bars, Sam Bond's Garage is an iconic night spot showcasing regional musicians on an almost-nightly basis. The Whiteaker neighborhood is best for folks who have a tolerance for human diversity, and do not mind occasional interactions with transients. The neighborhood is safe, but a touch more exhilarating than typical surburbia.
A mix of commercial and residential establishments, enjoy the serenity of the Craftsman or walk in any direction to enjoy this creative and active neighborhood.
The gorgeous Willamette River is only a few blocks away and easily accessed by walking 10 minutes north of the Craftsman. Enjoy a run, bicycle ride or walk along this gorgeous river that runs through the town of Eugene.

We stayed here over Thanksgiving and had a great time! The house is super-cute, very clean and quiet. We stayed here with our adult daughter (our son lives in Eugene). We cooked Thanksgiving dinner in the kitchen (OK, we did not cook a turkey) without a hitch. The living room is great for hanging out or napping. We would definitely stay here again.
Better than the pictures. Very private yet right in Eugene, a rare find. Eve’s communication was exceptional and check-out simple and easy. If the garden is in bloom they’d love to have renters enjoy the fresh food.
Beautiful home with tons of charm! Clean, comfortable, gorgeous back yard. Kitchen was fully stocked with cookware, plates, etc to entertain for a dinner guests. Stayed for 5 nights and loved it.
The house is wonderful!! The location is great if you are visiting the campus. The house seemed to be close to every place we went to. The house was very clean and well stocked. I would definitely stay here again. Parking is on the street, but was not an issue.
This was an absolutely marvelous stay. It was clean, comfortable, and liveable. Many house stays don't have great kitchenware, which can be difficult, as I like to cook and eat out. This also had great outdoor space, which was fun in spring.
Home was so beautifully appointed and comfortable. Gardens surrounded us in peaceful beauty. Everything was well taken care of and Eve was very responsive. Will definitely come back.
Perfect little house in a cool part of town walking distance to some of the best food in town. 8 min uber to the campus. Wonderful host. I will stay there again for sure.
We just loved this property. An oasis in the city. Totally private with beautiful outdoor spaces. Beds super comfy. Charming decor and well outfitted kitchen. Easy access. Despite no assigned parking we never had trouble with that. Cute neighborhood with local eateries and close to Eugene hotspots.. Loved it!
A lovely little home! We enjoyed our stay very much. I would have preferred a driveway to park in, but street parking was always available near the house. Overall, a great experience staying here and we won’t hesitate to book it again if we need to come back to Eugene.
My brother and I stayed 4 nights. The house is comfortable, the kitchen well stocked if one is going to cook (we didn't), it is VERY quiet, and centrally located. Eve was a great host and responded to questions quickly.
Lovely old home. Bed very comfortable . Quiet neighborhood but limited food in walking distance. Main heater in the living room worked very well but bathroom was cold (note, we stayed on a very cold weekend).
This cottage is completely hidden from the street, giving one a wonderful sense of peace and privacy. We thoroughly enjoyed our week there. Lovely family owned grocery very close, easy access for exploring the area by car, or just walking around the area.
The cottage is beautifully decorated, a joy to experience, and very well maintained. We hope to stay again.
The
House is better than described: clean, quiet, cozy, with comfy beds. Located directly across from grocery and within a few minute walk of several restaurants. Easy access to highways. Communication with host was prompt and effective.
Quaint and beautiful cottage near so many great places!
This was the perfect spot for us to be to visit our Duck! We loved being within walking distance of Tacovore and not far from her off campus house. The home is darling and the beds were super comfy! We sleep in a King size at home and I was nervous about a queen bed but it was no issue at all! The garden is beautiful and the foliage around the front of the home is darling. Highly recommend. We will be staying here again.

About the host
Hosted by Eve
Engaging, friendly host interested in people and creative endeavors. I spend my time running a local non-profit organization that protects and enhances land and water through collaborative processes, research, design and habitat restoration efforts. I also have a business in interior design, creating beautiful and comfortable living spaces for myself and others. I have established the gardens around the home to create a peaceful, beautiful setting with the hope of providing an oasis for guests to relax into and enjoy.
