The Wuthering Heights Cabin is a serene mountain top getaway. You will begin to feel the magic of this charming cabin the minute you drive in. Nestled in the woods of the beautiful Blue Mountains of Pennsylvania you will enjoy the breathtaking views both of the valley and the mountains. It is a one-of-a-kind getaway, the perfect destination to enjoy any time of the year.
The space
The cabin was built in the 1940’s and retains much of its original charm. You will find the original stonework throughout the cabin and in the retaining walls outside. It has recently been renovated to provide more modern comforts, the perfect combination of old and new to make it an unforgettable experience.
With two suites on separate floors it can easily house 7 guests, 8 if you make someone sleep on the couch!
The main suite upstairs features 2 bedrooms. A master bedroom with a king size bed and attached bathroom with a soaking tub and a shower. The second upstairs bedroom has a bunk bed with a double bed on the bottom and a twin bed on the top.
The second suite is on the bottom floor, a walk-in basement. This spacious room has a queen size bed, an electric fireplace and an attached bathroom with a shower. There is a small reading nook with a sofa and cozy blankets so you can curl up with a good book for a while. The washer and dryer are also located in this suite.
The main floor has a living room with an electric fireplace, a dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen. There is a stove, a microwave, a toaster, crockpot, blender, fridge, Keurig coffee maker with a variety of K-Cup options, flatware, cooking utensils, pots and pans, dishes, and glasses. There is no dishwasher, but we do provide paperware. We provide basic staples such as spices, condiments, butter, sugar, flour, and olive oil so that you don’t need to worry about those details.
We provide the towels, wash clothes, and all bedding. Don’t worry about packing shampoo, conditioner, body wash, or lotion as you will find them provided in each bathroom.
Relax in the 7 person hot tub while looking out over the valley. This is truly an experience unlike any other.
With easy driving distances to Lancaster County, Hershey, Knobels Amusement Park, Jim Thorpe, Cabela’s and many other attractions you will find plenty to occupy your time. But be sure you save plenty of time for relaxing on the porch with binoculars, making s’mores out around the fire pit, and hiking the beautiful trails, including the Appalachian Trail, which is less than a mile from the cabin.
