This spacious 2,700+ square foot home offers comfort, privacy, and stunning natural beauty in a setting that feels both relaxing and inspiring.
The home features two large primary suites, a private office suite, an elegant living room with soaring 12-foot ceilings, an updated kitchen, and a warm, inviting family room designed for relaxing after a day of exploring Northern Arizona. Large windows and open living spaces create a wonderful sense of light, openness, and tranquility throughout the home.
One of the things guests love most is the spectacular setting. The property backs directly onto a beautiful double-wide golf course with sweeping views of Mingus Mountain and the surrounding Verde Valley. The large covered patio is one of the best places to begin and end the day — perfect for morning coffee at sunrise, evening sunsets over the mountains, and occasionally even watching hot air balloons drift across the sky.
At night, the stars are truly extraordinary. During meteor shower season, the skies can be absolutely breathtaking and are one of the many reasons this area feels so special.
I especially love that the home offers both serenity and convenience. You can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of a private gated community while being just 15 minutes from Sedona, without the congestion and heavy traffic often found in town. Outstanding experience in every way!

My entire experience with the owner and her gorgeous property was outstanding. Not only is this home elegant and comfortable, the owner was warm and extremely gracious from the get-go. The house is large without feeling overwhelming. It has an open format with incredibly high ceilings. So gorgeous! The house location offers outstanding views of the mountains (and a green, green golf course) from multiple rooms. It is so bright and sunny with ample huge picture windows and French doors from both the master bedroom and living room. The owner is telling the truth when she describes the home as a special, healing place. It is sunny and airy and lovely. We particularly enjoyed our daily “nature” show of hummingbirds flying right up to the kitchen window (which faces a beautiful secluded courtyard area) and the family room window (which faces the mountains/golf course). No “rental” décor here; this home is decorated with beautiful artwork and furniture - an eclectic mix of high-end gorgeous and comfortable pieces. The kitchen is a pleasure, outfitted with everything you need to cook to your heart’s content (I’ve never seen such pretty granite countertops before). There is a spacious refrigerator, large divided sink, dishwasher, microwave, oven, and stovetop. The laundry room is spacious and features a top-of-the-line washer/dryer. For dining, you can sit at the granite kitchen bar, the large kitchen table, or outside on the beautiful patio. I got many great nights of sleep in the master king-sized bed- very comfortable with beautiful bedding and all-cotton sheets. There is an enormous walk-in closet off the master bedroom. The master bathroom is a pure joy, with double sinks, a separate toilet room, a gigantic soaking tub, and a huge double shower with benches and a separate center “rain” shower head. There were plenty of plush towels of high-quality cotton. In terms of location, you’re a quick 20-minute drive to Sedona and you get the best of both worlds by staying in this home – Sedona fun and exploration and then a return to the quiet beauty of Cornville. Club House facilities are excellent with a beautiful swimming pool, hot tub, and work out room. In summary, the owner has been gracious and accommodating; interacting with her and staying in her home helped bring some joy to my stressful summer! I very much recommend a stay at this fantastic property. I know you’ll be so pleased and refreshed through the experience. Many thanks!

A great trouble free enjoyable vacation,thank you !!

We (two couples) rented this gorgeous house for 31 days based on the photos and description. From the time I contacted Home Away and then Terrie Marie the owner everything went uphill. Communication, payments, instructions and information were down to a T. We got there at night and everything was as expected, the house was very well equipped and Terrie Marie left enough supplies to get us going. The house is just 16 miles south of Sedona on a gated community right next to the Golf Course and the mountains for background, and situated in the center (no more than 15-20 minutes) of everything there`s to see and do. The house which became our home is very well appointed and just as described, one huge Master bedroom with a huge bathroom, walk in closet, double sinks double showers and a big tub. A smaller cozier bedroom with it`s own bathroom, huge kitchen with all the toys, dinning area ,a sitting area with TV and Library, a huge living room with a study room just off, laundry room with washer and dryer, a good size pantry and two more bathrooms. Doors to the patio from the Master bedroom and from the living room, big windows galore and 12 foot ceilings with 8 foot doors throughout !!. The patio will be well used, the vistas ,the quietness and the star gazing are amazing. There`s also a pull out couch in case and an attached double garage that makes it great to unload the car and come right in. We truly enjoyed the house and will recommend it in a heart beat. Terrie Marie takes pride of ownership and it shows. There is great walking with trails starting right outside the gates and nearby, it`s a walking paradise and a five minute drive to all shopping and dinning, also the access to the club house included with a mini gym, pool table, library, swimming pool ,hot tub and BBQ area.. From the peaceful walking paths to the breathtaking night skies filled with stars, it immediately felt like a place where people could truly relax, recharge, and feel inspired.
Sedona and the Verde Valley have always held a special place in my heart. There is a unique energy here — welcoming, peaceful, and deeply connected to nature. One of the things I love most is how easy it is to feel at home and connected to the wonderful people and natural beauty of the area.
This home was designed to be both elegant and comfortable, with uplifting open spaces, beautiful views, and a calming atmosphere that guests often say helps them unwind and rejuvenate.
Because I travel frequently, I decided to share my home on VRBO so others can experience everything that makes this place so special. My hope is that guests will enjoy and appreciate the home and community as much as I do, creating wonderful memories during their stay.

I selected this particular homesite because it offered something truly special within the community. The property backs to a rare double-wide section of the golf course, creating an exceptional sense of openness, privacy, and beautiful green space. Because the homes behind are set far in the distance, the views feel expansive and peaceful rather than crowded.
The lot also enjoys stunning views of Mingus Mountain and the sparkling evening city lights of Cottonwood and Jerome. I intentionally designed the home to maximize these beautiful surroundings, with living spaces and patios positioned to fully capture the mountain scenery, sunsets, and tranquil atmosphere.
Another feature I loved was the elevated position of the property compared to many nearby homes, allowing for even more dramatic views and a wonderful feeling of space and light throughout the home.
La Privada itself is known for its beautifully designed homes, quiet streets, and welcoming atmosphere, making it one of the most desirable gated communities in the Verde Valley.
