As always had a fantastic stay. This was our 6 trip I believe. Have celebrated 3 anniversaries here and hope to.continue our visits. Thank you for a great weekend.
Rarely is there a chance to stay in a house with this much history and a million dollar view. We loved our stay and would highly recommend to anyone staying in the Jerome area.
This is a beautiful property full with lots of great history!! We loved it and hope to return!! Thank you for preserving some of the best Arizona history!!
Dealing with Glenn was super easy, and definitely follow his instructions on driving in as the road is narrow with no room to turn around. As you walk in the place immediately gives you vibes of great history and how they lived back in 1898. The outside was patio and deck areas were amazing with views worth every penny. When I realized there was no TV in the place I got a little worried with teenagers, but the place was so amazing with such amazing outside amenities the kids didn’t even want to be inside. Would definitely stay again and refer this place to others. Thank you for restoring this piece of history and sharing it with us.
We were so impressed by this little gem on the hilltop of Jerome. It was an authentic and amazing experience with a million dollar view. We’ll definitely be back.
Very interesting home. You, pretty much need a 4x4 for the road into the home, very rugged.
Lovely little cottage, nicely restored with incredible views!
The house is on a hillside overlooking Jerome - beautiful views both day and night. Convenient access to downtown, although walking does involve a bit of uphill/stair climbing. The house is clean, cozy and full of antique treasures. A fun place to stay!
We had a short overnight visit but was a lot of fun. The drive to the house was on a very narrow sketchy road, but it was part of the adventure. :) the house was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. The AC worked great. Outside gathering area was perfect for sky watching. We will definitely be returning. Thanks Glenn!!
Once you get there its an awesome place with million dollar views. I would recommend driving a mid size car as the parking and road are very tight. Loved reading about History and restoration of the home!

About the host
Hosted by Glenn Odegard
As a fifth generation general contractor and carpenter, I bought the house with the intent to restore to it's original state to preserve a unique piece of Jerome and Arizona history.
There have been three movies filmed at the house. The painstaking accuracy of the 1890's restored exterior and interior furnishings have provided an ideal setting for that era. The latest movie, shot in 2024 in the house, was just released in 2025 on Apple TV and Amazon Prime " Modern Folklore".
Pictured along with myself (on right) is Neil Riordan(on left). Neil, along with his brother John grew up in this house from 1931 until 1953. You can read the 2 page article in ARIZONA HIGHWAYS MAGAZINE about the families life and their escape when the mudslide struck the house while living inside.
