Welcome to your ocean-view Caribbean home away from home at Point Pleasant Resort, E8.

This remodeled ocean-view studio suite offers free 100mb Wi-Fi, a large wraparound balcony, and incredible water and island views from a convenient middle-resort location. Ideal for couples or solo travelers, E8 sleeps up to 2 guests and provides a comfortable St. Thomas getaway with easy access to resort amenities.

The suite features a king bed, a fully equipped kitchen with a stainless-steel refrigerator and two-burner cooktop, air conditioning, a renovated bathroom with a new vanity, and comfortable interior living space designed for easy island living. Indoor dining for 2 and the large wraparound balcony make it easy to enjoy meals and relax while taking in the beautiful Caribbean scenery.

E8 is located in the middle section of the resort, between the Waterfront Pool and Terrace Pool, and is a short walk to the lobby, activities center, and guest laundry facility. Point Pleasant Resort is approximately 8 miles from the airport. Rental cars are recommended for guests who want to explore the island, though taxis are often available near the lobby. Complimentary shuttle service operates from the resort lobby throughout the 15-acre property from 8:00 AM to 12:00 AM daily. The resort is also close to Coki Beach, Coral World Ocean Park and Aquarium, the ferry to St. John, and Magens Bay.

While island-wide power interruptions may occasionally occur, the resort is protected by a full-property backup generator system designed to keep guest units and essential resort services operating smoothly, including water, internet/Wi-Fi, restaurants, laundry facilities, and resort operations. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM, and smoking is prohibited in public areas and inside condominium units. We also recommend purchasing “cancel for any reason” travel insurance for added peace of mind.

Overall, the resort and stall are Excellent. Very friendly and accommodating. The unit needs updating. The curtain rods fall whenever you try to close the curtains, the safe locked before we could use it and the staff did not have a key that could open the safe. The mattress needs replacement. I would stay here again but maybe a different unit...

We stayed in E - 8

The property manager & staff were excellent. We spent 4 horrendous nights in E8. The first downfall was the floors, our feet were BLACK because the floors were not clean. The ants everywhere on everything. You can’t cook but one thing at a time on the 2 burner stove because the pan and pot they provided were too large to fit but one at a time. After cleaning the kitchen with the 1 dish towel they provided, within 5 minutes ANTS, thousands of ants covered the counters. Ants were in the kitchen, the bath, and in our bed. The tile in the shower floor was coming up and the drain cover was just laid on the broken tiles. I almost fell in the shower to avoid cutting my foot on the broken tile. The water would not turn off in the shower. The sheets were so old and dingy they were yellow. The AC is on a timer so every 6 hours it cuts off. Very few electrical sockets. There’s no place to unpack your clothes because there wasn’t a dresser and few hangers. Every Sunday night Coki beach has a party with the loudest music that we couldn’t sleep until it ended around midnight, we understand the resort cannot control it but just so you are aware you will experience this. The staff were excellent. We got in late and security brought us to the villa and assisted us with bags etc. Vincie, Norman, Kade (at the front gate) were pleasant and we appreciate all you did to make us feel welcome & assisting us on our move to another villa. That’s when the fun began!

As an ocean view suite, E8 is a quaint studio apartment meaning there wont be as much square footage and furniture as a one bedroom villa in which we upgraded you during your stay. As for the ants, we have monthly exterminations and are located in the tropics so we recommend everyone to properly store their groceries during their stay. We are eco friendly so we do have the ACs on timers to save on energy during the daytime. If you needed any extra utensils or cookware please feel free to contact the front desk. We are glad you enjoyed the upgrade you were moved to. It was a pleasure assisting you while you were here.

Week in February

We were pleasantly surprised with how great these accommodations were. The tile in the bathroom had been fixed it also had the necessary appliances we wanted. Such as coffee maker, microwave, blender, toaster, and we were surprised with the full size fridge. Nicole in the middle level was refreshing and had a spectacular view. We love walking down to the shoreline restaurant seeing the tarpon and visiting koki Beach to snorkel.

Beautiful view

Everything was described. The view was beautiful! The place is on the small end but perfect for my husband and I. The only downfall was that the property management office had limited hours. The host was responsive to questions but referred us to the on site property management office. The on-site restaurant was super slow and the employees weren’t very friendly. We ended up leaving and walking to Margaritaville. This hotel isn’t within walking distance of much, so you will need to a taxi or car to get around.

Fantastic view and friendly staff

We really loved the view out of the multiple sliding glass doors in our unit (E5). This unit is on the lowest level putting us right on the water. The studio unit could use some upgrading. The kitchen had older tile and original cabinetry. The bathroom also looked a bit tired. The staff at this resort are warm and friendly. The grounds are well kept. They have a small fitness room that served its purpose for my husband. They have a waterfront, casual restaurant that was good. On Tuesday night we attended a cocktail party hosted by the resort and the appetizers and drinks were complimentary and very good. Our only issue was there was a trail of termites in the bathroom. Termites are very common in the islands and all properties need to spray for them. We brought it to the attention of the front desk after our first night. Someone from housekeeping cleaned the wall off that contained the brown trail of termites. By the end of our stay the trail was again on the bathroom wall. I sent an email to management making them aware of this issue and explained that I did have pictures. I received no response and I find that to be more upsetting than the actual termites. I would make sure if requesting this unit (for its great view) that the termite issue has been resolved. Despite this issue I would still recommend this resort but would be more proactive in resolving any issues that might arise.

Wonderful Anniversary Trip!
