Thank you so much for staying with us. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you are able to return in the future. We are so glad you enjoyed the solitude and the river!
Loved the cozy feel of this cabin! The sound of the river flowing was relaxing while setting on the back porch or screened in porch! Arrived the day of Christmas and it was still decorated for Christmas so our family was able to still open gifts around the tree! Location was good! Our overall experience was exceptional!
It was so peaceful a wonderful location for adventure and fun. Would definitely consider staying twice and I'm not one for staying in the same place twice. Host Lynn was very easy to communicate with. It was a perfect birthday getaway at the hideaway.
Very comfortable home. We had a great stay! Driveway kind of surprised us on first arrival, but we got used to it quickly. Fished the river mist days and did catch, but water is a bit too warm during our stay for trout. Wouls definitely stay again.
My family enjoyed this cabin by the river. It is away from the tourist and traffic of Gatlinburg which worked awesome for us. My family and I hope to return in the future.
Amazing location but not the best for fishing and swimming. The water is a bit rough and hard to navigate up to calm waters but the sound of the river running is wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about this place and the owners. 10/10 recommend
The sound of the river was amazing with a rustic feel of the cabin. Felt comfortable and safe there. The cabin had all the necessities, instead of having to bring a bunch of stuff or having to go shop for tons of little things, this cabin already had it. Thank you for letting us stay.
This was our third stay here, never disappoints. We stayed 6 nights and my wife and I brought our friends this stay. The property is right on the river for the opportunity to fish. We loved the secluded setting. The property is out away from everything, yet only a 25 min drive to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. The sound from the river is very relaxing. The host responds quickly to any questions we had. Would recommend this place to anyone.
We enjoyed our stay. The cabin is so beautifully built on the river. Just sitting on the breakfast nook and looking out is worth all the money paid. Thank you for making this available to rent to us.
We enjoyed our stay here. Everything was as advertised, clean and the owner was responsive. The river in the fall setting was a highlight of the stay and we will definitely be back.

About the host
Hosted by Lynn Fielitz, Ron Fielitz
We are brothers Ron and Lynn, the owners and builders of Pigeon River Hideaway. We’re originally from Ohio, where we spent much of our lives farming and working outdoors, which is where we developed our appreciation for peaceful landscapes and simple beauty. Building this cabin was truly a labor of love for us, and we enjoy knowing that guests from across the country—and even around the world—get to experience and enjoy the same special place that means so much to us. One of our favorite things as hosts is seeing where our guests are from and knowing the cabin we built can bring people together to relax, recharge, and make lasting memories.
Why they chose this property
We chose this location because of its natural beauty and peaceful setting along the Little Pigeon River. The cabin sits in a scenic and secluded area where you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the river, the rapids, and the surrounding mountains. It offers a quiet escape away from the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, yet it’s still close enough that guests can easily visit all the attractions, restaurants, and activities those towns have to offer. For us, it’s the perfect balance of relaxation and convenience.
What makes this property unique
Pigeon River Hideaway is special because of its private riverfront location. Guests can sit on the deck and listen to the flowing water, watch the rapids, enjoy the scenery, or spend time fishing right outside the cabin. The seclusion creates a peaceful mountain experience that’s hard to find, while the beautiful river setting makes it feel truly unique. Because we personally built the cabin, every detail reflects the care and pride we put into creating a place where guests can unwind, enjoy nature, and feel at home.
