The property was great, very clean and tidy, comfortable bed, adequate kitchen, terrific location. The only thing I would bring up is that I don't know if the listing mentions the hard water situation and the associated sulfur smell. I was personally not bothered by it.

Glad you enjoyed the place and thanks for the feedback! For the water, we do have it under amenities notes but will move it to the main description so it’s not easily scrolled by.
A trip up to Allberg, Vermont for the solar eclipse And to just get away to a beautiful place. Very clean and comfortable accommodations and very accommodating hosts. I highly recommend a stay the Vermont islands are beautiful.
The home was clean and well kept. The location was somewhat remote. The biggest issue was the smell of sulfur in the water in the home . It was very overwhelming when you tried to use any of the water in the home. Host was AWSOME and answered all questions.

I’m sorry to hear the water was overwhelming for you. If you had informed me during your stay I would have come to take a look at the treatment system. The property has well water (as the listing states). Tests prior to the treatment system showed high iron with slight increase in sulfur. I never noticed a sulfur smell and no other guest has mentioned that before or after I put the treatment system in. Since I put in the system, which also included a sulfur filter, I’ve had no issues. I don’t think this warrants a 6/10 review but nonetheless, thanks for the feedback, we will check on the system.
Great spot, plenty of room for the truck and boat.
Great place!
We’ll be back for sure
Amenities: The home is well-equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen had all the necessary appliances and utensils, allowing us to prepare our meals with ease. The living spaces are cozy and inviting. We particularly loved the outdoor space.
Cleanliness: The property was spotless upon our arrival. The owners clearly take pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for their guests. The bedroom was comfortable and the bathrooms were well-stocked with towels and toiletries.
Activities: There’s no shortage of activities to enjoy in and around Alburgh. We mainly came up to fish but we did do a couple hiking trails that were near by.
Hosts: The hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful. They provided detailed information about the property and the surrounding area, and they were quick to answer any questions we had during our stay.
My wife and I were looking to get away to somewhere quiet away from the chaos of life, and this was a perfect spot!
Leading up to the stay Charles was in contact regularly and made sure we had all the info we needed, and let us know what to expect when we got there.
The property was very clean and organized, with everything you could need readily available. We were impressed with the little touches such as the phone chargers by the bar, the basket of flyers for local restaurants/attractions, and the basket in the bathroom with spare toiletries should you forget any of the basics. It's clear they want to make sure you are comfortable for all parts of your stay.
We stayed four nights total and had a fantastic time, splitting about half and half between the house and the different parks/attractions around the islands. The house and furniture were comfortable enough that we had no issues spending downtime just hanging out in the living room reading/talking. They have a Roku TV setup and the wi-fi was great as well. There is a fire pit outside that we never got around to using with the weather, but it is very likely we will set time aside on our next trip. We spent a lot of our time just traveling around the islands sightseeing as my wife had never been up there before, and we easily filled four days, with things still left to do.
All in all it was a perfect stay and we look forward to making the trip up again (and likely again) in the future!
