History: The mountains around the ranch were once the location of a large gold mining operation, the evidence of which still exists in the form of our two manmade lakes and abandoned mine shafts. Many years after the miners had left the area, Cascade Mountain Ranch was purchased and established as a boys ranch. Over the years the mountain lodges were expanded to accommodate the growing number of boys living there. You'll notice some "quirky" designs, such as our double bathroom which has two showers and two toilets (don't worry, bathroom buddies aren't required). Today, Cascade Mountain Ranch is run by the non-profit organization ICare, Inc. So you can enjoy your stay and feel good knowing you are helping a good cause!
