My husband and I moved from Scotland to Spain in 2005 with our two young boys to enjoy a more relaxed and tranquil life. When we bought the house it was a shell with no running water, toilet or kitchen but it was all a big adventure and we spent 10 happy years here gradually renovating the property whilst also living in it. The children attended the local school and we were welcomed with open arms by the local villagers. Finally after 19 years we have finished the renovations and hope that holiday makers will enjoy the peace and tranquility of this beautiful part of Spain as much as we do.
Why they chose this property
The property is nestled amongst a valley of olive groves with stunning views over the mountain of La Tiñosa. The local village of Algarinejo has all the amenities you require: shops, bars, restaurants, banks, pharmacy and 24 medical emergency service. The local villagers are very friendly and more than willing to help if you have a go at speaking some Spanish. We hope you enjoy the slow pace of life here!
