Excellent property and location. The villa was exactly as shown in the pictures. Located in an area where you can enjoy good walking around Carcabury or the nearby Via Verde if you want something easier. Fernando was an excellent host showing a great respect for our privacy. Just a short walk along a well lit road is a bar and restaurant offering a good mix of food.
Beautiful house in a splendid environment.
We stayed 10 days in Casa de la Hiquera. Beautiful house, in the middle of an olive orchard and just 20 minutes from Priego de Cordoba (by car). Nice and quiet. The house is well equipped, clean and well-maintained with a big swimming-pool in the yard. And above all, mr. Fernando Rico Osuna is a friendly, caring and hospitable host. We, a family of 6 adults en 4 children, had a wonderful time there.

Very good country home for exploring Andalusia
This house was ideally located for our day trips to Cordoba and Granada and for exploring the local Andalusian region. It was well represented on the website and fully and well equipped. The owner was hospitable, punctual and, despite language difficulties, thorough with the check in process. The house is very clean and comfortable. The pool and grounds are well maintained and the terrace is a perfect location for a meal or a glass of wine and enjoying the view. One constructive comment - the house would be more comfortable with queen size beds rather than double beds. That said, it did not prevent us from booking it for 5 nights, nor did it adversely affect our stay.

"Lovely house with all you need for a relaxing holiday. Little village 5 mins walk up the road so handy for a bar and small supermarket but away from it all up on a hill. 2 hours from Seville airport made it ideal for us. Lovely friendly owner. We all really enjoyed our holiday at this rural retreat."

Wir haben traumhafte zwei Wochen verbracht. Das Haus, der Garten und der Pool sind einfach nur großartig! Das Objekt liegt wunderbar abgelegen, so dass wir nur für uns sein konnten.

Auch in der Umgebung gibt es viel zu sehen. Innerhalb einer guten Stunde sind bspw. Malaga, Granada, Cordoba und Jaén erreichbar.

Casa de la Higuera is located next to Zagrilla, one of the most picturesque and best preserved villages in Priego de Cordoba. Strolling through this village with its white houses you will come across extremely beautiful sights, all of them an example of a special rural architecture.
The town of Priego de Cordoba can be reached from Granada, Seville or Malaga via the A-92 dual carriageway.
Exit at the Loja turn-off, direction Priego.
From Jaén via the A-336 and from Cordoba via the N-432.
Just a few kilometres from Priego de Cordoba is Zagrilla, the village where the house is located.
Do not miss the wonderful views from Casa de la Higuera and walk around the surroundings in the heart of the Nature Reserve. Visit the beautiful historic-artistic heritage of Priego de Córdoba: La Fuente del Rey (the king’s fountain), el Balcón del Adarve, the Arabic Quarter of the city, its Archaeological Museum and Baroque Churches. You will be surprised.
This rural house offers a wide range of possibilities in addition to those of the area itself. At just over 100 kilometres there is the city of Malaga and the beaches of the Costa del Sol. Closer to home is Granada, with its remarkable Alhambra. And very near, less than an hour's car drive away, is the greatest treasure in Andalusian Arabian art, The Mosque at Cordoba.
