Southwinds F17 3rd Floor Direct Oceanfront

New for the 2024 Season! Southwinds F17 is a non-smoking, 2 bedroom/1.5 bath condo located on the 3rd floor. Unit is oceanfront with views of the ocean and the beach. The condo has a full size kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, and coffee maker. A washer and dryer are located inside this condo. There is wireless internet, 1 TVs (one in the living room) The main bedroom has a king size bed. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a single trundle bed.
Southwinds does not allow renters to have pets. This unit is available for weekly and partial weeks with a 2 night-minimum stay. Please contact for rates on partial weeks. Rates include departure maid service, admin fee and linens. Trip insurance is optional and available for an additional cost. Tax is 12.75%.

Great little getaway

Great weekend get away

The location was good and matched the description very well. The owner was quick to respond to tell us the Wi-Fi password when we couldn’t find it. My wife left a pair of earrings on accident and even though we said they weren’t that valuable, the manager is gonna mail them back to us. We would stay here again.

Great view of the beach!

Enjoyed our stay in this condo. Convenient to everything in Atlantic Beach, Morehead City and Beaufort. Pool, boardwalk, and facilities were all in great shape.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this ocean front condo! It was very clean, the complex was quiet, and was very convenient to both the pool and the beach. We would definitely consider returning to this unit in the future!

The condo was just as described. Very clean and paper supplies, soaps and other amenities were available. The beach was lovely and uncrowded in early October. The weather was perfect for us - 80+ degrees all week! Our condo was on the third floor and there is no elevator ~ not a problem for us, but just a heads up. Would stay again.

The pool is also well maintained and clean. We always receive great customer service from the management team. Love to visit the aquarium, which is a short drive. Also, love visiting Shackleford Banks. It’s a lovely ferry ride out of Beaufort. Shackleford has wild horses that stop by for a visit. Amos Mosquito’s is less than 5 minutes away from Southwinds, a wonderful place to eat dinner. Love Southwinds! This is our go to every summer vacation.

Worst Experience

We had every intention of fulfilling our rental agreement and the stay. Surfside Realty cancelled just before arrival with no reason given. The Host refused to communicate and did not cancel the VRBO which showed as completed. Be aware of this problem if you do rent from this agent. Communication did not occur. Wrong confirmations were sent. Had to find accommodations at late notice despite the Host given full payment..

Great place!

The unit was lovely and had everything we needed. I appreciated that the linens were provided in such a way that I was assured they were clean and fresh. There were no additional trash bags for the kitchen but that did not hinder our stay. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, we had a great time. Location and views were awesome. Kitchen wasnt great but not bad either. Not equipped the way we would prefer but nothing to ruin the trip. Being in the 3rd wasn't a big deal except for unloading Day 1 and packing on the last day. Not having an elevator ever crossed my mind. If you hate steps, not the condo for you but we enjoyed the tiny bit of forced exercise. Lastly, my only true complaint was the mattress. I 'think' it had a mattress cover on it that made the bed very hot. No matter how cold the room was, bed was hot and I slept poorly all week. Took me 2-3 days to recover once I got home. All of that being said, we would stay there again because of the fair price and good condition of the condo and complex. The realty company was also great to work with.
