We had a wonderful time at Culebra. This room was very clean, and came with everything we needed as far as towels, beach gear, body wash, shampoo, etc. It was easy to access and we felt safe here. Beautiful view of the water and boats. It was quiet and relaxing after a day of exploring. We did reserve a golf cart for our 2 day stay and never had any issues with keeping it outside the room overnight. I want to point out though that you cannot check into this room until 3pm. If you are coming early with luggage, you may want to rent a Jeep so that you can securely lock up your bags until you can check in. Otherwise, if you rent a golf cart, maybe take a later flight or ferry time so that you're not hauling your luggage around all day in the back of a golf cart. There's no place that we could find to store luggage before checking in. Otherwise, it was a great time and we'd stay here again if we come back to visit.

Great place to stay

We loved our stay! Check-in and out processes were smooth, our hosts were very good and active communicators, and the location was perfect - just a quick drive away from Flamenco Beach. Overall, would highly recommend, and am looking forward to our next stay!

Spacious with Amazing View

This property is amazing!! Located a few minutes from airport and the view from the balcony and window is gorgeous. Plenty of on street parking. I rented the 1 bedroom and it was very spacious with living room, dining table, full kitchen, bathroom. The AC unit cooled perfectly and quickly. Will definitely be back to Culebra and this property!!

Communication was easy. There were some extras -- like a cooler, towels for the beach and hair drier. The place was clean and attractive, but not fancy -- I wasn't worried my kids would break anything! Great place!

We had a great stay in Culebra at Island Charm. The place was clean and spacious with several amenities (makeup remover wipes, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, ironing board, beach chairs, cooler, etc). The view is incredible-right on the water. Plenty of parking up front. The cats around the property were an added bonus! Would recommend!

Built in 2014, this building has 4 units; three are available for guests to rent, the fourth is occupied by the owner. We found our unit to be clean, comfortable, and in a safe neighborhood. It had a full kitchen, normal sized bathroom with spacious walk-in shower, and an appropriately sized and furnished living room. Parking is on the street in front of the unit. Our unit had a side view of the harbor down the hill from this residential "local" neighborhood. I believe that the 2 other rental units have a better view. All VRBO reservations, email communications, deposits, etc. were handled by Heather and Alfonso very professionally. This unit is more expensive than other properties on the island of Culebra, but we found it to be worth every penny.

Look Elsewhere

While there were many fine aspects to this property, next time I would strongly consider other options. Pros: * sleeping for four * view of the bay * excellent shower * fairly clean * cats and two kittens living in front of the unit * two comfortable beach chairs and a cooler * a newish building Cons: * a very strict check-in policy with no consideration for those who may need to arrive early or leave later because of irradic ferry scheduling (a common occurance). We could not book an afternoon crossing and had to purchase a noon crossing, but were told they would not allow us to drop off our luggage a couple of hours early. Other listings in Culebra said they would store luggage for early or late check outs, so if you are taking a ferry I would highly recommend somewhere else. * never before have encountered signs in a VRBO such as "For every hour of late check out, $50" and "Housekeeping takes tips" and "Dirty dishes will result in a $50 fee." * Beware that there is no oven (so we could not cook our frozen pizza). It appeared like we had an oven, but upon inspection we realized the heating elements had been removed and the listing only mentioned a cooktop - our bad for not reading the fine print! * No dishtowel to dry dishes and no basics such as oil or salt and pepper * The view includes a building in construction next door, which was not lovely, but the photo conveniently leaves that out. * While the unit had sleeping for four, it had only two beach towels and two beach chairs (again, in the fine print) We enjoyed our stay in Culebra and wished we had arranged to stay more than three nights.

Wonderful Vacation, Great Place to Stay

My wife and I stayed at Alfonso's and Heather's Seahorse Suite in Culebra for 3 days. The place was great! Alfonso and Heather were quick to respond and very helpful. The place was very clean and well kept and the location was a 3 minute golf cart ride from the restaurant/downtown area. Look forward to staying here in the future. Mike

Spacious Apt with a View!

Alfonso & Heather's apartment was perfect for our visit to Culebra! The property is located 3-5 mins away from the airport. We rented a golf cart for ease of transportation (highly recommended and lots of fun!) The apartment was impeccably clean, very comfortable and well equipped with a full kitchen and beach supplies! (beach towels, 2 chairs and a cooler) We greatly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Alfonso & Heather's apartment for those considering visiting Culebra!

Good, but room for improvement. The shower water pressure, temperature and the soap/shampoo dispenser are great. Could use additional bathroom rugs for the spillover. Should also have more or better quality bath towels. They did not dry from one use to the next. The beds are comfy, but the pullout queen in the living room is not, unless it is used by kids. The facility is VERY well kept, feels new and maintained. We would have loved a hammock in our side of the floor. The staff answered and took care of our requests quite promptly, we did not feel on our own.

Best Place to Stay in Culebra!!

We just returned from a short vacation in Culebra and our stay at Seahorse Suite was phenomenal. The apartment is only 5 years old, so it is modern but at the same time cozy. We loved the decor, the kitchen is well equipped, and the air conditioners in the living room and bedroom maintained a comforting temperature so much needed after a day in the sun. The view of the harbor from the living room was so beautiful!! The outdoor shower was a plus. Heather and Alfonso were super friendly and attentive. Alfonso was always checking if we needed anything or providing suggestions for tours and restaurants. They were accessible and responsive at all times. The location is excellent near Flamenco Beach, Zoni Beach, the town, Milka Supermarket (well stocked supermarket) and restaurants. Captain Dave (201-654-5290) ‬provided an excellent tour to Culebrita (the most beautiful beach) at a very reasonable price. For a good breakfast and coffee visit Blac Flamingo. We definitely will stay there again soon!

Beautiful apartment, beautiful view!

Everything is new and lovely at the Seahorse Suite of Island Charm villas! The one-bedroom apartment is quite spacious. The living area couch and chairs are very comfortable. The kitchen has the basic equipment to prepare simple, cooked meals. The air conditioning units in the living area and the bedroom are efficient and cool the rooms quickly. They aren't particularly noisy, either. The beds are very comfortable, and the pillows too. The internet works well, but it is shared by all 3 rental units, so it is somewhat slower during peak use times. We were still able to stream movies using a Firestick connected to the TV, with few interruptions. The outdoor shower worked very well, and is conveniently located just outside of Seahorse Suite. Parking is readily available on the street, in front of the building. Island Charm is well-worth considering for your stay on Culebra!

La recomiendo! Pasamos 3 días y 3 noches en esta propiedad y fue perfecto! Lugar muy bonito, acogedor y limpio. En la cocina encontramos todos los artículos que necesitamos (excepto esponja de fregar los platos). El propietario se ve que se esmera por ofrecer un lugar perfecto para unas vacaciones agradables. La vista es espectacular (desde el apartamento que está justo frente al mar). La encargada de mantenimiento, estuvo atenta a nuestras necesidades. Queda cerca de las playas ( en carro). Estoy segura de que volveremos a rentarlo!

Beautiful views, very clean and comfortable

This is the second time that we stayed at the Seahorse Suite. The property is very clean and it includes all you need to enjoy a great stay at Culebra. The area is very quiet and it has amazing views of the bay. The manager is great and very accessible. We fully recommend it.
