Private and secluded get away. Quiet area with plenty to do. Host was always available and super communicative. House was perfect for kids with air hockey, a pool table, plenty of games and Nintendo which they loved.

Thanks for the feedback, Tracy! Glad to hear everything was mostly as expected and that you enjoyed the location. We appreciate you pointing out the mini fridge in the game room—we’ll make sure that gets addressed.
House is cute, neat and clean. Loved the lake. Hiked Hawk Fall trails which was perfect as we had a young one. The deck was so peaceful to sit and read early in the morning. Kids and teens enjoyed the downstairs game room. All the necessary kitchen items. The frying pans were not the best but understandable with a lot of renters using them. The older kids got Kayaks at the lake and had a great time. This was a very nice house to stay at and an enjoyable experience for us grandparents who had family with us.

We had a great vacation - the location was very central to many activities that suited the different age groups in our multi-generational family group. The game room was a big hit! The house interior was comfortable and clean and very well stocked.

My friends and I had a great time at this lodge! The upstairs and downstairs both have a great living room area and the downstairs game room with pool and air hockey was very nice! Couches and beds were comfortable. Hosts were very quick to respond when we had one slight issue and were ready to address it immediately. Would definitely recommend!

When we arrived the circuit breaker was already on and there were no parking passes. They were dropped off and left in the pouring rain the next day. Outdoor pictures are misrepresenting. They show seclusion but in fact there are houses all around. Beds were said to be queens but are definitely not queens! The downstairs bathroom didn’t flush properly for a day and a half. Someone was sent a while later to fix it. The upstairs sofa’s cushions were all open and had stuffing coming out of them! The game room! The pool table had no chalk just wooden blocks! The air hockey game barely emitted any air. So much for a game room. Bath towels were left but only one per person (4 people). No wash clothes. We did finally found three and the decorative one upstairs was dirty. Now for the kitchen! Extremely lacking!! No cookware for the oven except sheet pans! As far as cooking utensils, no measuring cups or spoons. Pots and pans were non stick and sorely worn. No good mixing bowls. Microwave is way too high and only worked with a lot of button pushing. The start button is pushed in. If anyone is thinking about this place and you like to cook this is not the place for you. You definitely need a new cleaning crew because the one you have now does a very poor job. Cobwebs on walls and curtains. Fake plants were loaded with dust. And then we were told to wash the towels before we left! What is wrong with this picture? I also had to clean the upstairs toilet because by mid week it was slimy.

Didn't spoil our family trip, but should have been better
The good: location is very quiet with lots of deer around. Basics are provided. Plenty of propane to run the grill. K-cup and pot coffee maker available. Dishwasher worked well. Community beach and pool are very nice.
The bad: Upstairs beds are doubles, not queens as shown in the listing. Grill grates were very rusty, ignition switch didn't work but stick lighter was provided. Outdoor umbrella had a hole in it. Electric stove top coils wouldn't sit flat so the pans were always tilted when cooking. Only found non-stick pans which many were scuffed and chipped. Found a red solo cup under one of the beds, a hershey wrapper under another, broken glass under one of the downstairs couches and long very dark hair on the living room carpet (none of us have dark hair). One of the fire alams was removed from the ceiling, another was chirping needing new batteries but was in a locked closet. Luckily it was faint enough it didn't keep us up all night. The 8 wristbands provided are like the kind you get at a concert where they are not removable - wearing this all week long was annoying, and my daughters became unraveled on day 2 - luckily we had enough bands she could use another one. There are 2 dehumidifiers downstairs - one turns on but never seemed to collect water. The other had to be constantly running, the minute it stopped running the downstairs smelled heavily of mildew. That dehumidifier had to be changed 2x/day.
Overall: For the price paid, I was expecting more.

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback, Erin. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed the quiet location, the nearby wildlife, and the amenities like the community beach and pool. However, we apologize for the issues you encountered during your stay. We’ve taken note of the discrepancies with the bed sizes and will ensure our listing reflects accurate details. We also appreciate you bringing the cleanliness and maintenance issues to our attention, and we’ll be addressing these with our cleaning and maintenance teams to prevent future oversights. Regarding the grill, we’re sorry it wasn’t in top condition—rest assured we’ll inspect it and replace the grates if necessary. Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope we have the opportunity to provide you with a more seamless experience in the future.
