The River Front Get Away (locally known as the Bait Shop) was a perfect location for our family! Ted was the hostess with the mostest! From cornhole, firepit, water features, to bubbles for the babies. Our clan will be back for future gatherings and reunions!
This was our second time staying here and we love it! We think Ted is awesome and we love giving Bailey belly rub's. Perfect place for enjoying outdoors and all the comforts of home. Can't wait to go back!
Very friendly host and he was very understanding, everything was just as the pictures showed and we had a very fun time on the water as well as in the house
Our family of six enjoyed our two night stay. We enjoyed the quiet area and the property was well kept and clean. Although we didn’t take advantage of the kayaks available, we plan to do so on our next visit. Thank you Ted for having us.
We had a great time! Perfect location on Jim Ned creek for fishing and outside activities with all the comfort of home. Super friendly with us and our dog Amiga. We'll definitely be going back.
We loved the house, we had to get used to the window units, but it was okay. The only problem was we wished there was a small enclosed area around the porch. You have a nice place on the river.
This place was great! We had our 6 YO, 2 YO, and dog and it was very comfortable. We were lucky enough to stay when the lake was at 98% which made getting to and from the lake with our boat and jet skis via the creek pretty painless minus dodging some stumps. The porch was great and with plenty of light. The property itself was nice and maintained well so that we weren’t trekking through tall grass to get to the water’s edge. The house was clean and comfortable and very well stocked with anything our family needed. Best thing was the privacy. Living on 57 acres, I’m big on that. I was worried about the rv slots right beside feeling uncomfortable but the privacy fence was well placed and gave me exactly what I needed. I guess the only con is that it’s more of a fishing spot than a swimming spot. Lots of river life like snake, turtles and bugs. We tried to keep the kids out of the water there as much as possible. Overall 5 stars though. We will definitely look to come back in the future as long as the lake level holds!
