STUDIO 203: AMAZING Mountain Views - 5 Minutes to Downtown Durango! Pet Friendly
Ready to feel like you're living like a local in the beautiful mountain town of Durango, Colorado? This Studio has the most incredible views and adventures - right outside your door!
Just 5 minutes north of downtown Durango and 25 minutes from Purgatory Ski Resort.
STUDIO 203 is perfect for (a maximum of) 2 people ages 24+.
**ONE DOG up to 50 pounds is allowed - WITH pet fee added to your reservation. We love dogs, and Durango is super dog friendly with countless activities here. But for this unit, ONLY 1 DOG is allowed **with pet fee.** {If you have a dog, be sure you add the pet fee to your booking.} Dog must not be left home alone or bark a lot, as there is a rental house above this unit. **If more pets are brought in, it will result in a $300 fine. Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up all pet waste and for any damages caused by pet.
STUDIO 203 is close to ALL the hiking, biking, water fun, and more! The Studio has a Queen size bed. Full bathroom has everything you need (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, lotion, linens, hair dryer, etc.). Please note - due to the small space, the shower is quite small but definitely does its job. The Studio also has a kitchenette with a 4-burner cooktop, microwave, mini-fridge, eating ware and utensils, pots/pans, paper towels, napkins, a coffee maker, coffee, and more. Everything you need for a comfortable stay!
PLEASE NOTE: When the upper house is rented out during your stay, there will be some noise due to people walking on the deck above, etc. This space has more of an apartment feel, so if you are looking for complete silence, this may not be the place for you. From your parking spot, there IS AN UPHILL walk (20 seconds or so) to The Studio door, so keep that in mind if mobility is an issue.
FAVORITE ACTIVITIES NEARBY: 1) Purgatory Ski Resort (Winter & Summer fun) 2) Hiking (Some of our favorite hikes: Animas Mountain, Rim Trail @ Fort Lewis College (a good hike for getting acclimated to the altitude), Engineer Mountain, Spud Lake (4x4 required!), Haviland Lake (great place to hang out, get on the water on paddle board or kayak, etc.) 3) Durango & Silverton Train 4) Downtown Durango 5) Oxbow Preserve (great for river access, swimming, and has a great (paved) walking area that connects to Animas River Trail)
...and much, much more! We have town maps, hiking and dining info, etc. at the Studio for your reference.
IMPORTANT INFO: **PET: ONE dog up to 50lbs is allowed WITH pet deposit. No more than that. ($300 fee for sneaking in multiple dogs, so just don't do it.) :) Dog must not be left alone or bark much. Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up all pet waste.
**NO SMOKING of any kind is allowed.** Thank you for your understanding of our private residence and also the extreme drought we are in and the absolute danger and destruction that even one spark can cause.
**NOISE: Please keep noise to a minimum if/when on your porch chairs, as we are a private residence. (Most people are so worn out from all the amazing hiking and outdoor activities (and altitude) that they are in bed quite early.)
**Like most homes in Durango, this home does NOT have Air Conditioning. Keeping sun OUT during the day by keeping blinds down, windows open at night in the summer with a fan blowing cool air in is how we coordinate that here in CO. It will be a bit warm in the summer but not unbearable.

This a great place! Perfect location - so close to Durango, but not far from other locales. Awesome view and nearby access to hiking trails. The unit itself was perfect for 1-2 travelers
We appreciated the hospitality of Sarah & Eric. The location was perfect for convenient access to high-country hiking and biking - our reason for staying there. All the amenities needed for a short stay, including a very dog-friendly atmosphere. Very clean, nothing fussy, just the basics. A wonderful stay!
A perfect little spot for our weekend away! Beautifully located and well appointed - we didn’t lack anything. Note: if you or your partner or larger (6 ft), check out the shower photo before booking. My man did it but it was humorous. Great hosts and communication.
Small shower. Would not recommend for someone with physical ailments. But i would definitely book again. Awesome place awesome view! Quiet and peaceful! Loved it!
Stayed here for a week while I did some house hunting, it was quiet and comfortable and very convenient to everything in Durango. Super clean and overall could not have been better for my stay.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and time in beautiful Durango!
The property was accurate as the description. It was located close to everything we needed. The upstairs guest were noisy but the listing was very transparent about that so it was t a surprise. The only th
We stayed 3 nights at this cozy, tucked - away studio rental just minutes from activities in Durango. Though there are multiple residences and rentals on the property, it was mostly private - feeling and quiet. It was a delight to have morning coffee on the little patio overlooking a beautiful ridge view. All the provided supplies we needed in the kitchen and bath were accessible and there was ample storage space to tuck our own things. We can highly recommend this charming studio.

Barbara,
Thanks so much for your input. We're glad you enjoyed your stay, and having coffee while looking at that big, beautiful view of the red cliffs. -Sarah & Eric
Durango was great. However, we couldn't enjoy the outings due to not getting enough sleep. The up stairs renters were extremely noisy all though the night. They had no consideration for the downstairs tenants.

Peter,
We are glad you enjoyed Durango and sorry to hear the upper tenants were noisy late. Almost all of our renters have been wonderful tenants and are in bed quite early, as they are worn out from the adventures of the day. I wonder if it could have been the furniture/wind on the deck above during the night, as that just happened with a recent storm and we fixed it. Thanks for letting us know.
