About this property

This modern home is the perfect place to reconnect with friends or stay with your family. A pool with sun shelf makes for amazing afternoons where adults and kids can enjoy cooling off during the summer. A perfect place to stay is perfect for group trips. Located in South Austin, 5 miles to 6th St and Rainey, and 3 miles to South Congress Ave. The home is also walking distance (literally across the street) to Austin Java, Jo's Coffee, Captain Quackenbush, and The Vegan Yacht.
The space
The house has three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The "4th" bedroom is an office with a queen size murphy bed with an attached half bathroom. The office makes a great working space and sleeping arrangements if you're traveling with a group.

The home is child friendly with toys, games and supplies for the littlest ones (pack n play, high chair, booster seat, etc.).

The backyard has a pool with a large sun shelf, great for little kids to play on. There's a large table on the deck with seating for 10 and a commercial misting systems with fans, which will keep you cool on the hottest days (fans and mist lower the temperature by 15-20 degrees when in use). Pool toys are also included for the kids enjoyment.

In the fall and winter, enjoy the fire pit, cafe lighting and projector to enjoy movies or sporting events outdoors.

The bedrooms have comfortable mattresses with plenty of room for two families to share the space (1 king bedroom with attached bathroom, 1 queen bedroom and a bunk room that has three twin beds).

The kitchen comes equipped with everything needed to make family meals and basic cooking supplies such as oils, spices and condiments. The island has seating for 5, and the dining room has seating for 6.
Guest access
The entire space is available for use. Closets will be unavailable in bedrooms, but other storage is provided in each bedroom.

The laundry area is in the garage, which guests will have full access to.
Other things to note
Please note, this is our family's home - we live here when not renting out the space. This is a full house rental. Personal items will be removed from the home during your stay, and closets will be locked, and other storage will be provided for clothing, etc. If you wish to rent the home for 30 days or more, we can arrange use of closets upon request.

In addition, if you're staying at our home in the summer months, we will have pool cleaned 1-2x a week, to keep the water clean and sparkling!

Perfect House for a Family Vacation

My family and I were in Austin and needed a place to stay that was convenient to everything that Austin offers, but we didn't want to be downtown. This house is an easy drive to downtown and has quick access to MoPac or 35 when we had to go to North Austin. It was also an easy drive from the airport. When we weren't out and about, we were thrilled to spend time in the home. The outdoor living was amazing. The pool was so fun, with a great shallow ledge area for little kids to play on. The deck has a great sunshade and the fans and misters were such a nice touch to stay cool. One night, we used the outside movie screen to watch a movie and roast marshmallows at the firepit. Indoors, the house is well set up. The kitchen is well stocked with all you need to cook and have meals. The living area is open to the kitchen, so it's wonderful to all be together. My kids loved the loft in the bunk room, they didn't want to come down when it was time to go. One day we walked across the street to get breakfast - there were a couple options within walking distance, but we loved Austin Java. Alanna was a great host. Instructions were clear for entry and for what we needed to do upon departure. Everything was as advertised. Overall, this is a great house for a family vacation or reunion. It has easy access to all Austin has to offer and was a great space to spend time in as well. We will definitely come back again when we need to visit Austin.
