We stayed in rapid city as our home base to visit the surrounding areas. We had a busy 2 days of site seeing and this house was a nice, clean relaxing spot to return to at the end of the day. It is close to the downtown area in a great location.
My impression of this property is; we felt at home. The place was just like the listing, very clean and bright. We loved the upstairs/downstairs, large rooms, and the sunroom. The location was fantastic. We took early morning walks to downtown and the residential neighborhood.
Did not like the washer dryer combo.over all good, although as other reviews have stated, more bath towels would be a plus. There was no hair dryer that we found. Very clean.
The home was clean and looks to have been recently updated. The home is centrally located to popular tourist attractions and restaurants. The upstairs bedroom has quite a bit more street noise, but the basement bedrooms are considerably more quiet. The washer and dryer are quite small, and unfortunately the dryer wasn’t drying clothes very well.
The owner has done a beautiful job restoring a historical home and preserving charm while adding many convenient and modern touches! It was very nice to have a bathroom on both levels and worked well for my elderly mother to stay on the main level while my family was on the lower level. The house is on the very end of West Blvd, which makes for a bit of traffic, but we got used to that quickly! It was gorgeous to run down the Blvd and enjoy all the lovely homes! The sun porch was a main spot for my family as well. The coffee and tea were nice touches, too! The owner and her cleaning crew had amazing communication and remediated an issue BEYOND promptly. Thank you!
The property was not cleaned between the previous renters and our family. Even worse, the host was unresponsive. We checked out early and 6 days later we still have no resolution. The host offered to reimburse approximately the amount of the cleaning fee, obviously cleaners had not been there. This was the most disappointing VRBO experience I have ever had.
When we decided to go to Rapid City to explore western South Dakota, we looked for a place that was easy to get to, had rooms and baths, as well as a kitchen for us to cook our meals. We found the perfect place in this VRBO.
We were located downtown so we could take evening strolls to meet the Presidents (statues), grocery stores were close as were the highways making it very easy to explore every day with little traffic. The home was immaculately clean, the towel (were small) and we would have appreciated a couple more hand towels in the very well stocked kitchen. We cooked in the house every evening and there was always the right pan for our needs. I would highly recommend this place to call home if you want to visit Mr. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Devil's Tower, Sturgis, and a plethora of other places. Communication with the host was slow, but eventually the answers to our questions would come.
