You were the most wonderful guest, left chalet in a beautiful condition. The painting your son left is on display and i sent a photo to my mom. Its lovely to have children there ... Thank you x
It was a lovely chalet, as described by the owner. Very homely, and with amazing views. My kids loved the table tennis room, and the pool (even when it was raining!). I'd highly recommend.

I'm very sorry, the brand new frying pan was stolen by last guests as well as the toilet brush. My cleaners didnt inform they were missing and i only found out yesterday. However if it was a problem you could have let me know and i would have bought them over to you. I do provide plenty of pots and pans and baking sheets etc so i hope you managed. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay 😁
Beautiful location with stunning views. Compact & cosy with comfy beds, very clean & well equipped, the cutest bath we've ever seen - easy to see how loved this little treasure is! Short drive to Tywyn & local attractions. There's little storage space but not a big problem. We had great fun playing Monopoly & table tennis when it was cold & windy, and a dip in the pool the day it opened. The owner answered all messages quickly - and left us a treat on arrival which was lovely!
We had a fair share of bugs in the property, the water pressure was terrible and the beds were quite uncomfortable. Not to mention issue's with the bathroom and water temperature
The chalet was cute, compact & self contained. It did us really nicely, even with 5 of us. The owner was really helpful and always replied to any communication we made with her. The beds were comfy, even the put up one. The view is great. It would benefit from a shower being installed.

Hi David, thank you for your kind review. Im so pleased you enjoyed your stay. The lovely card was a wonderful surprise. This was our first year letting and we refurbished the living room and kitchen. We are actually closing at the end of the month to refurbish the bathroom and include a shower.
Really really nice place, so greensh very very beautiful, the air is so fresh and we really enjoyed even with rainy weather as we stayed at the chalet during rainy days and we really had fun time as my kids loved the monopoly and spend lots of time on it and other lovely games as well as the enjoyed watching tv at the night with amazing view at night, really nice experience.
we really enjoyed on the chalet as it has really an amazing view in front of mountains and air is sooo fresh that we really enjoyed having our breakfast all together outside as well as having tea afternoon me and my wife.
Needs to mention that the bus stop is so close just in front of the park entrance, the time of the bus at the area was little bit hard (2 hours between each one) but its acceptable, and most of the bus drivers are so kind and friendly, one of them asked me to pay just for adults and not for kids.
The park itself is fair close to lots of amazing places (even for a person coming without a car) like the waterfall, the steam train, the beach and other like-heaven places.
The only issue we faced is the internet, the wifi was unfortunately so weak and i tried to speak with reception but i didn't find them at their main building till the end of our journey, but it was not a real big issue as we used my wife's sim card data (she's with O2) as my sim card network was not good (im with Id network)
It will be so so perfect if just has a better internet, but it is really amazing place 👌

About the host

Hello 👋 My Grandfather purchased the chalet so his family could 'go home'. I've enjoyed a lifetime of holidays here. Firstly my Grandmother then my mother have looked after the chalet and now its my turn to look after the chalet for future generations. The chalet hadn't changed much since the 1960s !! So between 2024 and 2025 my husband and I refurbished the chalet. But i was determined to keep hints of family holidays for us & you to enjoy. From original 70s Pyrex to dads tie hidden in a wardrobe, from a memory shelf we want you to add to and even grandads chair still remain. But we added a brand new kitchen, wooden flooring, huge cosy sofa, new bedding, USB charging sockets, electric in the bedrooms 😲 flat screen gaming satellite tv and so much more to make visitors feel comfortable and enjoy your stay !! It costs a lot to maintain a caravan \ chalet these days so i had no option but to start letting & sharing our chalet so it can pay the bills. I'm determined that the chalet is spotless clean with lots of new fixtures & fittings. We've also added some modern touches like flat screen gaming tv whilst retaining some original retro items too. I refurbished bathroom last year, changing from 2 rooms into 1. All new fixtures and fittings, anti slip flooring and a shower tap in the bath. We've kept a small bath as this is lovely for children. The water pressure is low, this is a 1960s site and low pressure is all over the site. We are looking into options. But there lots of lovely soft water. There's a dining table & chairs so you can set up an indoor dining space or eat outside too. [Dining table is in the double bedroom giving lots more room in the living room but its easy to slide out. Stools are in the wardrobe.
Why they chose this property
I now live near Caernarfon North Wales but i firmly believe that the chalet location is the very best & most beautiful countryside Wales can offer. With the greenest fields & mountains, the widest sandy beaches and endless attractions theres so much to see & do. Whilst retaining the peace & quiet of rural wales the chalet offers relaxing onsite breaks with stunning views, delicious food & drink in the restaurant, a beer by the pool and hours of fun in the sun in the heated outdoor pool. Or a base to head out for long lazy days on the beach and day trips around mid & north Wales.
However, please note the site, club house and pool are all out of my control. The paths are uneven woodland paths, if the club houses isnt open i cant help that. All opening times and events are advertise on boards on the drive and outside clubhouse.
What makes this property unique
My Chalet offers you a holiday at affordable price. With quiet mountain seclusion, theres a bar, restaurant, games rooms, sunbathing terraces and pool. Comfortable modern interior with retro fun detailing. Family & pet friendly or just a couples retreat. Spectacular mountain, valley & distant sea views from the door. Access to mid and north Wales within an hours drive or simply stay local and enjoy beaches, steam trains, waterfalls, cute harbor villages or the hustle & bustle of Barmouth the mini Blackpool look alike of Wales with fair rides, slots and chippy lunch.
PLEASE NOTE The chalets are small 1960s chalets, I only own one, if you see another n think you'd like it there's nothing I can do. I do employ local cleaners but i don't employ staff. If your looking for a 5*, luxury, tropical venue this isn't it !! If your looking for a traditional family holiday in a clean and comfortable chalet, with stunning views then this is it !!! Please remember, this is North Wales, UK i cant help the weather !!
Finally, i do have original 1960s, melamine plates, because we've always had them, if this is deal braker again, please don't book. I hope you enjoy my moms Pyrex, my Grandfathers chair and may be add to the memory shelf too. All helping to provide a warm, friendly place to stay.
