Beautifully updated and decorated home that still felt authentic to the period. Incredibly comfortable beds and luxury linens and towels. Everything you would expect with a five star property. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone and would stay here again.
Perfect place to celebrate the holidays with family
This home was perfect for our holiday celebration with family members traveling from 3 different states. We appreciated that each bedroom had its own bathroom. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had lots of counter space which made meal preparation easier. We also loved the location so close to a park where we had a nice walk.

This house is a great place to stay if you are attending any events downtown, exploring museums, or shopping at the Plaza! Perfect and comfortable. Easy in and out of neighborhood. Could use a few more table/floor lamps in the living room!
Pictures truly did capture how well maintained this property is. We chose it due to location of our activities and that it included a driveway to park. We drive a large vehicle and didn’t want to park on street. Home had the charm of the neighborhood inside but with the comforts of modern bathrooms and kitchen. Host was easy to ask questions prior and very prompt in response. Host had great recommendations for food. No issues checking in. My family is already asking when we are going back! Would definitely stay again.
The property, the historic neighborhood, the facilities, the museums, gardens, conservation center, etc. were perfect for our short family holiday. The kitchen at the home was designed well, and was stocked with everything that we needed to make a couple of fancy meals for everyone. Each bedroom had an attached bath, and the rooms were tastefully redone in this older (likely more than 100 years) home. The host was super quick with questions and we had a wonderful time!

What a lovely appointed “old” home brought back to life. That is the Hyde Park rental. Upon entering this rental I felt like I was back at my Grandmother’s house. The wood work and stairs are close to what my Grandmother had in her house. The squeaks from the stairs are similar too. It made me smile. No sneaking around this house. The stairs are going to give you away.The kitchen had everything you could possibly imagine. It was updated (as is the whole house) with new appliances, lovely dishes, glassware, pots and pans, microwave, etc, etc. The coffee station had coffee and creamers.The house supplies all that you need to keep clean. Plenty of body wash, shampoo and conditioner in each bathroom. Nice towels and plenty of them. The only thing that was missing was Kleenex. Something a little different were the mirrors in two of the bathrooms. They were over the windows which was nice for natural light, however if you stood in the backyard (which one of us did you could see right in). My suggestion would be frosted glass the same that’s in the showers.Geographically this house is located close to The Plaza and other KC attractions. However when you pull up to this house it’s a surprise. It’s on a street that has some sketchy houses but then at the end of the street there are houses that have been renovated and are lovely. We did not get the address of the house till the morning of our arrival.
