My Girlfriend and I booked this property for the weekend of Valentine’s Day & pres day, had an absolutely amazing time in the area. Got snowed in on Sunday which made it all the better. Amazing property, get communication by the owner, 10/10.
Great over all. Cozy old house. All the amenities, greatnplace to stay if you want great lake views but out of the way. Only bad thing was poor water pressure. The rest was fantastic!
We had a great stay. The location is nice. We enjoyed setting area with fireplace and a nice view of the lake. I gave 4 stars because the beds were kind of hard for us.
just a nice place to stay by the water. good location, just a short drive to various restaurants and other attractions in that part of Champlain. House does lack privacy somewhat, as it's in the middle of a group of other homes on that road as well. Road has surprising amount traffic on it considering where it is, so I wouldn't let your dog loose.
Great little house. Has everything you need. Lake is across the street. Lots to see. The bird viewing is amazing. Very dog friendly area. Tons of State parks and lots of trails to walk or hike. Had a lobster roll which was delicious.

Great spot with beautiful views
Lovely house very clean with a well stocked kitchen. Very gracious owner who is very easy to work with. Great location to visit surrounding areas. Had a wonderful time our first visit to Vermont. Highly recommend Sand Dune State park and make sure you visit Hero's Welcome. Looking forward to visiting Vermont again.
This home is spacious and has all amenities you might need. Walking paths, lake activities and nature are available and close by. Fishing and swimming on site and water was beautiful and clear.
This house is perfect for 2-4 folks. It is lakefront with lots of birds and waterfowl. The road is perfect for strolling, the state park is nearby, the neighbors are friendly. We enjoyed touring Alburgh and Isle La Motte. Michele was a great host!

Ice fishing weekend
Frosty MLK ice fishing weekend. Property was a great home base for our fishing exploits. It is great to have a fully functional kitchen to prep meals after long cold days on the ice. Would definitely stay here again if back up in the area. Michelle was great to deal with.
House was in a good location just across the street from water. It was well-equipped and quite spacious. Beds were comfortable. Host was easy to communicate with and check-in was easy. It was advertised as “dog friendly” and it was clear other dogs had preceded our stay as dog hair was everywhere — even in the washing machine.
Our only other complaints, other than flying dog hair (we are not used to shedding as our little 10 lb pup does not shed), were the spotty internet service, poor cell phone service, and low water pressure that caused problems using the washing machine.
All in all, this was a reasonably nice rental place for the area. It’s size and location make up for its shortcomings.
This place is adorable! The location is scenic and lovely, and the house is well-appointed and delightful. We enjoyed having the TV for nighttime but spent most of the time outside enjoying the lake view. We were there for the eclipse, and I had the absolute best viewing of the eclipse of anyone I know. No crowds, just us and the lake. My dog thought this was the best vacation of his life. He swam at every opportunity regardless of temperature. This is clearly a beloved vacation home that the owners spend time in themselves, so the kitchen was well prepared enough to be able to cook most meals and not have to venture out much, and the house has a real home feeling. Much better than all the soulless rentals out there. If you’re looking for a nice quiet getaway, and especially if you want to bring your dog, I can’t think of a better place to do it! We hope to return!

Merci
We enjoyed our stay - the home is an easy drive from Montreal, Burlington, Stowe, and Lake Placid, which made our travels easy. The house was clean with all necessities for our stay and with great views of the lake on a quiet road.
This is a great place to stay and have access to the Burlington. A great way to see the islands! Internet is quite slow; so don't plan on any external communication.
The stay was wonderful! Very peaceful, scenic, and tranquil. It was a great experience to see the fall leaves ( since we’re from South of Houston) and beautiful Lake Champlain. Felt like home away from home. Great host as well. I would highly recommend!

Ok stay
The owner was very communicative. Pictures were a bit misleading. Looked like there was a small play area in pics. There was none. Would not recommend bringing young children. Lots of rocks down to water and really no beach area. House was very clean but furnishings very dated, could use an update. Did not realize there would be so many of owner's things in closets, cupboards and refrigerator. Two sets of stairs (kind of rickety) leading to house so older people or anyone with mobility issues would find challenging.
Michele was very responsive. The place is a gem. 2 bedrooms, well stocked kitchen, deck overlooking the lake with a grill. Our dogs had a blast swimming in the lake. We will definitely be back!!
I stayed here with my partner and our two dogs. We enjoyed the waterfront, spacious yard in front and back, as well as being able to cook our own meals in the kitchen. This home was the perfect getaway. We were able to get down to Burlington a couple of times during our stay as well. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in the Lake Champlain area!
Me, my girlfriend AND 3 dogs loved this place. Very clean and everything you need to feel at home away from home. Great spot. Right across the street is the lake with a nice beach area.
we were not familiar with the area, nothing to do rained the whole time, dryer was inoperative, found out just before we arrived a little annoyed, toilet was leaking continuously, had to shut the door due to noise, deck was rotted noticed right away , and aside from a small umbrella not usable while it was raining, noticed, slipped down the wood steps in the rain, due to bad slant in them, rest of steps to front were rotting into the dirt. but everything had a fresh coat of paint. left the next day, 4 days early. couldn't see ourselves just sitting here watching tv for the next few days. emailed owner 3 times and texted him to explain what happened, no answer to this day. pictures are deceiving, beware!!
I still do not understand how this place got 4.5 stars. amazing.
