Charming studio apartement for 2 in pretty village south west France
Located between Albi (classified UNESCO world heritage site) and Toulouse, charming studio for 2 in outbuilding of renovated old stone presbytery. Private entrance in pretty courtyard. Lovely back garden with access to our private pool. Our house is situated on the village square. Peace and quiet assured but only a hop down to beautiful historic Albi and about 45 mins from the vibrant city of Toulouse, "la ville rose" ! Fully furnished and self-contained. Two levels : large bedroom with sitting room space upstairs, and view over the pool; kitchenette and bathroom downstairs.
Renters need to be aware that there is quite a narrow, inclined staircase (with balustrade-railing however) leading from the ground floor kitchen and bathroom area to the upper level bedroom, lounge area. Unsuitable for persons with mobility difficulties.
Outdoor dining/breakfast table and chairs and barbecue available on request.
Plenty of safe parking space just outside our house and garden on the village square.
The studio is an ideal stopover for discovering the Tarn area with its picturesque medieval villages, the wine region of close-by Gaillac where you can take a tasting trip to the vineyards or set off for the day on a walking-hiking excursion. There is a wide variety of trails through the picturesque scenery of the area.
Local Farmers markets for fresh produce in close-by towns on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Why they chose this property
A beautiful stone presbytery on a small village square with an avenue of majestic plane trees. The garden is a lovely feature as well as the charming courtyard. Full of history, close to the majestic pink brick cities of Albi and Toulouse, yet a peaceful haven where one can awake to birdsong and the sun rising over the surrounding farming fields. A few minutes away from a large village where all is available in the way of shops, bakery, chemist, doctor. Local wineries also a few minutes away.
What makes this property unique
Peaceful, yet so close to entertainment, gastronomic pleasures and one can set off on foot for a country walk from the house itself - no need to take your car. You can also relax with a refreshing swim in our pool after a bust days seeing the sights and being the tourist !
