Peter/Nicola were very lovely. Located in a gated community. About 10 minute walk to the beach. I had a car and there was safe parking. Very good price compared to other places in the area. AC works well. Beach towels provided. Amazing view of the Bay. Will stay here again
Private separate guest house in gated area, minutes from Oyster Bay resort, Dawn beach, border of the French section and nearby scenic viewpoints and hiking area.Peter was very responsive in receiving us and settling us in. The fruit basket and fresh flower arrangement were very classy, and made us feel welcome right away.Beautiful Oyster Bay view to wake up to.
The place is separated into little kitchen, bathroom and main room. Due to the old building house, the furniture is fragile and the toilet savage pipes need a substantial reconstruction. Peter was a great host, left us fruits and communicated with us in constant time periods. The place is ideal for the backpackers rather classic hotel guests.
This cottage is perfectly located a five minute walk to Dawn Beach, in a gated community. Peter, the host, was very receptive and helpful, a true pleasure. We had the air conditioning fail the first night, Peter had someone on site, and the unit completely replaced, by lunch the next day. The views from our picture window are beautiful, iguanas just outside your door. Nice restaurants near by include Mama's, Oasis, and Bread and Butter Market. This cottage is perfect for a couple or solo traveller. The bed was comfortable, large, and firm. Everything was clean, fresh fruit provided on arrival, coffee maker and fridge work well. I personally have no complaints, but I'm not fussy. The furniture isn't new, but it all functions as one would expect. We spent everyday at the beach, and for $20 the beach attendants will get you chairs, a table and umbrella. We'll be back.
We spent four days at Cathy's corner in February 2020 and it was lovely. Restaurants and croissants nearby, a beach within walking distance and many others a short drive away, quiet and relaxing to look out the picture window onto the water (or eat breakfast on the small front porch). Peter was friendly and helpful and even left us some fresh fruit. We felt lucky to be there.
After finding the property, everything went smoothly, Peter was around to help my husband and I.We knew that the hurricane did a lot of damage but we're easy going people and we felt safe on the property the view was amazing and
we liked that we could drive a few minutes for fresh bread on the French side ,we only recommend a few minor upgrades with the appliances especially for long stays ,thank you Stephen and Peter we will definitely be back in the future.

Cozy, Quaint Cottage with Great View
Upon arriving at the cottage, Peter was there to greet me and my boyfriend. He gave us a little tour around the cottage and provided us with fresh fruit and water. He was very nice and a pleasure to meet! The cottage itself was small and cozy. There were beach towels, basic kitchen utensils including a mini fridge, coffee pot, and microwave, which were all helpful. The view from the cottage was gorgeous! The reason for 4 stars is because there were a lot of sugar ants in the bathroom and the roof looks as if it is still being repaired from the hurricane as there was a tarp and plywood over part of it. The roof itself was in great shape just the appearance needs some work. Overall, the cottage was perfect for 2 of us and we had everything we needed! Peter was very accommodating as he let us check out late since he had no other guests coming in. Thank you Peter for sharing your home!

Emily,
Thank you for the review and comments. You are correct that we are completing repairs to the damage caused by Hurricane Irma. We were unaware of the ants, but will address the situation promptly.

quiet island getaway
cute cabin near oyster pond. it's a little far from things, but, if you have a car, which you must, it's no issue. it was comfortable for a short stay. i had my morning coffee with a local iguana on the porch! no wifi service at this time, but expect that better communications will be coming soon. island is still getting back on its feet from the hurricane.

Very quaint and comfortable stay
We truly enjoyed our stay. The town is charming and the locals quite friendly. It is wonderful to just sit outside and take in the scenery. Peter was very helpful, and everything we needed was right there in our guest house. we opted for windows open a few nights to hear the lullaby of the Co-qui (spelling) frogs at night. It’s a nice walk to the bakery for fresh croissants in the morning, and the restaurant next door to the bakery is quite good. I definitely recommend this hidden gem.

Perfect Little Cottage
My husband and I took just a quick 4 day getaway and this place was perfect for us! The view was beautiful, and the cottage was well appointed. The bed was nice and firm, the partial kitchen did what we needed, there were plenty of towels (including beach towels) and some toiletry items. The host was a pleasure and gave us some good suggestions for things to do. We would definitely stay here again!

Cute n cozy guesthouse!
My husband and I had a lovely, quiet stay at Cathy's Corner Guesthouse. It's a 2min walk to the beach, restaurants, and a small grocery store. The Westin is a 13 min walk up a pretty steep hill. Only ⭐️ off is because the guesthouse could be updated a bit, but was overall very charming.

CATHYS GUES HOUSE IN OYSTER POND
On the deck you could see the bay which was beautiful. Inside the studio had wooden ceilings and antique wood work on the bed - very nice. It was a nice studio and Peter the owner was very helpful in any questions we had about the island or the studio.

LITTLE GEM OF OYSTER POND
This was our first trip to the island. The guest house was perfect and very private for a couple not to big or small,it is located outside the gate of main house. The fine gentleman name Peter, welcome us with a fresh fruit tray and cold Fiji water ,was very helpful with guidance since live in the island for 43 years, house it is located in the Dutch side 1 minute drive down the hill its the border French side,2 minutes drive to the marina a few restaurants a small convenience store early in the morning you can buy fresh baked baguette ,croissant and different tipe of gudies and very important buy a real street map it cost 13 dollars they sell it there, because you are going to need a car if you really want to get around the island and enjoy the beautifull beaches or enjoy the gourmet dishes at Marigot the very fine pastries at SaraFinas .Or if you want visit Anguilla a British Island ferry departs from there don't forget to bring your passport,if you really enjoy shopping drive around 25 minutes down to Philipsburg many many stores lots of jewelry.I usually leave the house in the morning and come back at night y forget to mention next to the convenience store ,a lady sell hole roostisiere chicken between 12 and 8 pm with 3 sides for 13$ a real bargain .Over all i really enjoy every minute and definitely I' m coming back, tanks for everything, process was smooth, hospitality excellent. Thanks again hopefully will see you again soon.

Nicely located cottage with a view.
Just arriving on the island for new jobs, my wife and I booked this little gem of a cottage to get our wits about us as we looked for a more permanent places to live. It is nicely located right near the border but still handy to town. The little bistros and cafes of Oyster Pond are in walking distance. A quick drive north gives you beautiful coastlines and views of St. Barts. You will also find bakeries with great pastries and wine shops. Not sure how it works out but the French wine is very inexpensive. We found we liked the area so much we rented spot just down the road for our more permanent address. Peter the owner could not have been more willing to help with tips and tricks for getting the most out of the island and Nicola was very responsive to all our questions about bookings. While the accommodations are cozy, they where clean and convenient.

Cute little guest house!
My husband and I needed a nice place to stay near the Weston where our son and his family were staying for a medical conference. This guest house was the perfect solution. Great view of oyster pond, extremely clean and equipped with all the amenities, fridge, microwave, dishes, shampoo, beach towels even bug spray! None of these things were complimentary at the Weston, not even a mini fridge. We had A/C and the location was gated and very quiet. Our host was available for anything we needed and very kind. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Lovely experience.
