I take great pride keeping The Cottage updated and am particular when it comes to cleanliness. I personally work to insure high standards are maintained. I enjoy exploring the forest, cross country skiing and seeking out new adventures close by. There is so much to see and do! The BEST hiking trails are just behind The Cottage. The trails are second-to-none -- offering a bird's eye, panoramic view of Lake Superior & surrounding islands. Lake Superior commands the utmost respect for those venturing out on its waters and consistently over-delivers a powerful, spiritual message to those of us admiring its grandeur -- SHOREside. Guests are sure to feel "The Spirit of Gitche Gumee" and appreciate the nature, serenity, animals -- all of us -- who are lucky enough to call this amazing place our "home away from home". I personally enjoy traveling and believe it broadens ones perspective of the world by teaching tolerance, patience, respect and understanding of all people & cultures. Welcome! Bienvenue!

The city centre offers guests the opportunity to purchase quality meat, fresh fish, organic produce & baked goods at reasonable prices. Have you ever eaten a Persian? A Persian is a special pastry unique only to Thunder Bay! Be curious enough to stop by The Persian Man Bakery and try one -- they are pink, sweet and delicious. Check out their delicious handmade pasta & perogies too! I really appreciate being so close to the city of Thunder Bay...but admit my absolute favorite place is residing at The Cottage overlooking the ever-changing MAGNIFICENT Lake Superior.
