Blue Heron Beach House on the ocean

Welcome to Blue Heron!
This home is full of east coast charm.
The private beach is amazing to cool off and swim in all summer long.
End your day with a bon fire & great night sleep - master bedroom has a spectacular ocean view.
Blue Heron's are sited daily!
Situated in Port Elgin & located 30 minutes from PEI, 30 minutes from Moncton and 5 minutes from the town of Port Elgin for amenities. Lots to explore here especially when the tide is out for lovely beach walk. 10 mins to a local winery.
The space
The entire house is yours, and sites on 2 acres of private property, and a private beach. Includes 3 bedrooms. On the main floor; primary bedroom - with ensuite and laundry. Main living areas has two couches, one couch is a pull out. Second level includes 2 bedrooms and one bathroom. Total of 3 beds. Configuration: 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, and 1 bedroom with a double bed. Amazing area, tide comes in and wonderful for swimming. While tide is out, the beach sand is perfect to walk on, play games and enjoy the extension of the property. Lots of upgrades for 2025 to the outdoor area, deck, improved firepit and new rocks along the waterfront. Pictures will be uploaded soon.

We had a wonderful vacation at Peter and Katharine's property. The house was very clean and comfortable. Love the coffee bar! The views are beautiful. Check in and communicating with Peter was super easy. It's great base from which to explore the maritime provinces.

Hosts were excellent at communicating and making us comfortable about what to expect on our first Vrbo experience. The beach house was adorable and we were very comfortable. Loved walking along the beach looking for “treasures”. Perfect location for day trips in NB, NS and PEI. We hated to have to leave…

Excellent property. Beautiful views, peaceful. It was a great location, with Shediac not far and PEI about 20 minutes away. The owners are great with check in but VRBO made it a little stressful. It said that we would receive check instructions 72 hours prior to check in but 72 hours came and went, I contacted the owners and they said I would get info 1 day before arrival, which did happen. If the two can align, it would be less anxiety inducing. You always hear of these fake listings, so when something like that happens, your brain starts playing tricks on you. Great yard for the kids to play in, they loved their bedrooms and the master with all the windows and on-suite and washer/dryer made it feel very homey. Great neighbours as well, very friendly, asked us to borrow their kayaks anytime. It would be great if the cottage had stuff like that to borrow. Overall a beautiful stay.

Carla was a great guest. I am glad they enjoyed the property. The check out policy is on our listing. We did not want to bend the rules and gave them the code prior. We just don’t want to have a conflict on the timing with cleaners, property prep, etc.

The property was quite clean for a cottage of its age and Peter and Katherine had very clear and easy communication. It was well stocked and had everything we needed. Unfortunately the mosquitoes in the time of year we visited put a bit of a damper on our ability to enjoy the exterior of the cottage though.

La vue est exceptionnelle. Il y a un accès à une plage privée. À marée basse, les marchés sont parfaites. Notre chien en a bien profité! Sur le terrain, il y a malheureusement trop de maringouin. Nous avons grandement apprécié les journées venteuses, car les maringouins étaient moins présents. La chambres principale esofest très confortable et on peut admirer le lever du soleil.. A l'étage, lair circule mal et c'est impossible à climatiser ce qui rend les nuits chaudes moins agréables. Il y a cependant des ventilateurs! Il y a tout ce dont on a besoin dans la maison. Un gros wow ! La communication avec l'hôte est rapide! L'arrivée se fait facilement. La maison est très bien située : moins de 30 minutes du pont de la confédération, ce qui permet de se rendre facilement sur l'Ile du prince Édouard. De A proximité de la nouvelle-Ecosse.

Petit havre de paix.

Belle propriété de style d'époque au gout du jour. Tous y est pour demeurer sur place et relaxer en bord de mer sur un beau terrain. Bien positionné pour une découverte du centre des maritimes et de IPE. À proximité des plus belle plage du N-B. Mes filles ont adoré la baignade dans la baie peut profonde devant le chalet et l'exploration a marrée basse. Je recommande!
