River Front Coles Point Loft. Get out of the city and breathe!
Relax, unwind, recharge while you bask in spectacular sunsets, spot bald eagles and osprey soaring overhead, identify constellations and maybe even the Milky Way on clear nights, while-away the hours fishing off the dock or swimming in the river. Bring your kayak to launch off the shared private dock and explore miles of shoreline and inlets. Rediscover your peace in this brand new studio apartment with maple hardwoods, new plush mattress, and a river-facing deck with incredible views. The twin bed makes room for another sleeper. Or maybe you need to get away alone! All the amenities you need for a relaxing getaway are there for you: coffeemaker, electric fry pan, convection toaster oven, countertop burner, refrigerator/freezer, fire pit, bbq. Take your kayak around the point to the Coles Point Tavern for rockfish bites and an Orange Crush. Or walk there - it's only .5 mile! Search for fossils at Westmoreland Park, grab a beer at Northern Neck Brewing, or explore the many wineries in the area. Or just relish the peace and quiet of life on the river. Discover the semi-meditative state of "drifting" - that special form of attention where we are engaged with the world around us but not focused on getting something done. You deserve to drift this weekend!

Absolutely stunning views, amazing sunset and stars (first time we got to see a shooting star). Great dinner recommendations, great accommodations and a comfortable quiet location.
The pictures do not do this place justice! Perfect spot to unwind and relax. We went for an anniversary weekend away and would love to come back. We did exactly what was in the description, fished, enjoyed the scenery and kayaked to Cole's point tavern and grabbed a bite to eat. Highly recommend!
This is such a peaceful and private location. We enjoy sitting on the deck in the morning, drinking our hot beverages. My husband enjoyed going out on the dock and fishing one morning. Truly an enjoyable property. Everything was as described. And very clean.
The area is remote and very quiet. Just what we needed. Beautiful views. Clean place. Very comfortable bed (very important). Good communication with host and it was exactly as listed.
We stayed at this property and it was perfect. Quiet, super clean and the views are amazing. We would certainly stay here again. Host was very helpful and quick to respond.
The apartment was clean and looked like the pictures-recently renovated, bright, and comfortable. Yes, the view is that amazing and the deck is a great way to enjoy it! Unfortunately the setting sun heats up the apartment in the afternoon and when we arrived the temperature inside was 86-the AC was set to 80 and I had to re work the thermostat’s weekend schedule to cool things down. Not a good start. Also, the water smelled like sulfur as it’s from a well. A bit off putting but there is a filtering water jug in the fridge that helps with the taste. Stacy explained that we were her first guests of the year and the well can be a brackish at the beginning of the season. My husband and I were in town for the weekend for a wedding and rehearsal dinner. We enjoyed spending time at Westmoreland State Park and had a lovely lunch in Montross. The apartment is well located for a variety of recreational activities. The beds were firm, the towels soft and it was a delightful place to spend the weekend.
Nice place, many accommodations we didn't need to use but good having them to our disposal just in case...
loved the privacy and quietness, 2 spectacular sunsets and a warm breeze all the time to enjoy the sky full of stars above our heads...
definitely a place in our check list to come back.
Everything was great and exactly as pictured and described. It was clean and just what we needed after a long day. The view is beautiful from the deck, great way to wake up.
The property is absolutely beautiful - right on the water and in a quiet, private neighborhood. The property offers everything you need for a restful stay and the updates in the property are really nice. We thoroughly enjoyed peaceful evenings on the deck and dock as well as easy access to Westmoreland Park. Communication was clear and easy as was check-in/check-out. Hope we can come back soon!
This was the perfect place to get away for a quiet weekend! The view was gorgeous, the neighborhood was small and quiet, and the apartment had more amenities than expected. Instructions and communications from the owner were clear and pleasant. I will definitely stay here again!!
