The Accommodations were as Advertised

Easy to check in and check out. The house is in the middle of a neighborhood conveniently located in walking to distance to the beach, trolley and food/drinking establishments. The property was very clean, and met our expectations. We would stay here again.

Clean Little Beach Condo

The beach condo was super clean and had everything that was needed for our five day/four night stay. Just a short walk to beach access. There is a trolley that drives the main road to take you right into town for shopping and restaurants. The locals are very friendly. It was perfect to celebrate my son's 15th birthday!

Convenient Location!

My family and I enjoyed our stay here, it’s a block from a public beach entrance which made for stress-free trips to the beach on a whim. It’s also a block away from the main road where you can catch the trolley and travel up and down the island. My only complaints were that the kitchen and dishes had kind of an old/musty smell and the beds were very squeaky which sometimes woke me up in the middle of the night if a guest in another room turned over, but it wasn’t too big of a deal. Would stay here again.

Great location

It was an even shorter walk to the beach access than I thought. Easy walk to a handful of restaurants, ice cream, bike & paddle rental shop, hardly drove our car. Bikes are best way to visit Siesta Key Village so you don’t have to hunt for the elusive parking space. Loved not having to pack beach towels, left more space for our shopping trip in St. Armands Circle.

Family vacay

Check in was a breeze, the owner helped us get in earlier than the 4pm check in tike, which was super helpful. The beach access is up the street and around the corner, not a bad walk we did it with 2 kids. The outside shower is wonderful to rinse the sand and salt away. We gor aome rain and the screened in porch area has a roof leak so male sure you aremt keeping anything in there because florida does get lots of rain. Wasnt an issue for us just an fyi for others. Theres a coffee shop in the village that i decoded to run back from was exactly 3 miles for anyone interested. All in all this was such a nice vacation and wonderful little place to stay so close to the beach

I noticed you had closed the A/C vent in the master bedroom which is what caused a whistling sound, all that needed to be done is to open the vent. It is a new a/c system and very quite located all the way on the outside of the garage.

Great location!

This property was extremely clean and in a fantastic location. That being said, the furniture really needs to be replaced. The sofa sunk down and was so hard we couldn't sit on it for any length of time. The master bed was pretty comfy. We had friends spend a couple nights and they said the twin beds were uncomfortable and made noise when they changed position.

Convenient place near the beach. The mattrices were not all that great, but everything else was what I expected. It was easy to get in and out of the place. They could have let us in early and I think they should look into that for others. We were there an hour early, the place was clean, and no one around. The app didn't give us the code until the set check in time.

Great location walking distance from the beach. The house is nice inside with mostly everything you need. Housekeeper need to to do a little better the floor wasn't clean you can feel sand on it and I found a used band-aid on the bathroom floor. I recommend to wash the outside of the house because as soon as you walk into the sunroom and patio the strong urine smell doesn't let you enjoy the outside. Otherwise I recommend this property and I would stay again.

Short Walk to the Beach

Great little spot for our family of 6, with four kids. Conveniently located near the beach. I would suggest bringing a wagon, so you can put everything in there. Kitchen is not stocked for six people bring extra paper plates. Also, bring extra paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap and laundry soap they only provide you with one roll. The hand soap is too little to last 3 days. The shower is super nice in the back to rinse off all that sand when you come back from the beach. We would stay here again. ❤️

Back to basics

The house was cute and the location was great. The kitchen had nice appliances. However, only the bare minimum was provided. There was no extra toilet paper, no paper towels, no dish detergent, no laundry detergent, and no extra trash bags. I expected at least a few of these things to get us through the week. The porch is huge and could be great, but currently it is grungy and we didn’t sit out there even once. Spruce it it and add some back-up supplies and this could be a great place!

Thanks for staying. Consumable items are not provided apart from starter amounts. Guests are informed prior to booking, 1 week prior to arrival, and on the day of arrival of the following. "All of our properties are individually owned and furnished to the likes of the owner. Owner shall provide towels, linens, cups, knives, forks, spoons, dishes and other items as common use. Please care for these items as if they were your own. Consumable items are not provided. Toilet paper (one roll in each bathroom provided at check-in), soap, dish detergent, laundry soap, cleaning supplies, shampoos, paper towels and napkins, garbage bags (one provided), and other consumables are to be purchased by the Tenant. If consumables exist at the premises upon arrival, you are free to use them. No reimbursement will be made for unused consumables left at the premises. Please refer to the property's amenities list for all available items."

This positive- Fair Price - Decent Location on the key - Close to the market - close to the beach - beautiful neighborhood The not so positive - Very uncomfortable bed and couch - kinda noisy - thin walls so for us we had a 2 year old and we needed tip toe while he was napping. - Ants in the kitchen - No view - Lots of noise from the lawn, trash, workers in the neighborhood, etc. very little to work with in the kitchen. All and All it was fair 7 out of 10 all things considered If your looking for the siesta key trip to remember Id look for a place with a view (hopefully the ocean) this place was clutch for us when needed but I wouldn't give it two solid thumbs up. Great for 2 people with 1 maybe 2 children older then 3 looking for a cheap way to get to Siesta.

Great Cozy Value

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This cottage duplex was exactly as pictured online. The kitchen and bathroom were the best features: very updated and clean! We stayed here with 4 kids and 2 adults and being that we were mainly at the beach, it was perfect. There were 2 boogie boards, chairs, umbrella, cooler, and even some sand toys. The 2 outdoor shower spigots were great for washing off sand. The screened in lanai was good for coming in and leaving stuff there without bringing it in to the house. I also appreciated the washer and dryer in the lanai closet. This was a great value for how close it is to the beach which is the main reason why we go to Siesta Key. Crescent Beach is my favorite part of the whole Siesta Key coastline. I have 2 slight criticisms. The first is that it seemed like it could have been a bit cleaner in "the corners". When we pulled out the sofa bed, there was a towel and plastic bag on the floor under it from a previous tenant. Also, it was slightly impersonal in the communication process. We were having problems with the DVD player for the kids, and when I contacted the staff through the web portal, I got back a very impersonal reply about they didn't know this property even had a DVD player and "do they even make those anymore?" This was not a very professional way to handle my question. When I replied to that email, I got no comment back. These would be areas for improvement, but overall we would stay there again as long as the price didn't increase significantly.

There was a myriad of people at the property well beyond what is allowed and what the reservation was for. I was distraught upon my arrival to the property which I was personally at just 30 or so minutes after the message regarding the DVD player came in. There was no issue with it at all. It was on upon arrival so I figured they figured it out. The property is not advertised as having a DVD player though... The property was left in shambles almost as if they brought the beach back inside with them and traces of food everywhere. Unfortunately the 5 hours available to clean the unit prior to the next arrival was not enough and following guests could not check-in at 3pm.

Siesta Key Stay

We LOVED the location, nicely updated, great screened porch. However, the sofa, chair, and mattresses, were extremely uncomfortable. The kitchen lacked some basic supplies, no wine glasses, steak knives, glass baking dish, standard sized baking sheet., only one pot holder provided. We stayed for two weeks so the supplies I listed would have been nice to have.

Great for young children

We stayed here for our family reunion, while the rest of our family was staying at a beachfront property. The location was fantastic, with a short walk up, and an even better bike ride through the area. The inside screened porch was fantastic for parking the rented bikes, wet bathing suits and towels, sunscreen, floats, etc. The outside patio was nice to have, although we didn't use it much. The couch, as has been mentioned in multiple reviews, is uncomfortable, both for sitting and for sleeping. The beds weren't great, but they were adequate. The walls are very thin, so if you have young kids, this is a perfect location, but if you have teenagers (like we did), maybe not so much. The price was outrageous, as our ocean front family paid far less than we did. The owner was less than helpful when I asked for the access code to be given. (Yes, it had been emailed, but was buried within several tabs. Yes, they send a text 3 hours prior to arrival - but it's all the same website, where your access information is buried within tabs.) Before my review is dinged with a disrespectful comment, I am not a "classic nonreader." The previous poster who said the toaster should be thrown into the Gulf of Mexico was not wrong. There are, in fact, NOT multiple settings on the toaster. All of this said, if you are looking for a cute place to stay, this is fine. The area is absolutely wonderful. You're right between the local nightlife and the public beach access. The owners are snarky - both in their response to critique, and in their response to questions. I will definitely be returning to the rival home rental company, as friendly customer service is as much as a part of the experience as is the stay in the home itself.

"Quick Arrival & Check-In Instructions For One Ocean - A / Quick Arrival & Check-In Instructions" Sent 7/9/2021 @ 12:10AM - Read by guest 7/9/2021 6:01AM GMT. This is a simple email the guest received the day prior to arrival which at the top discloses your reservation details, then all the important points including the "What to Bring" section, followed by check-in instructions which simply gives you the door code and how to use a deadbolt. Yes, there are multiple other options we have available for accessing additional information including local area recommendations, activities, etc. which would be only possible to organize using different tabs. Items in homes get replaced constantly and we spend thousands of dollars a day doing so (the side of the rental business guests do not see), the toaster has been replaced, correct it no longer has any setting capabilities. I am not sure why any prospective guest would chose this property over an "ocean front" property had it not been for the price. I personally would have chosen the less expensive ocean front!

Good location crappy management

Check in was a night mare. Emailed them a couple of days before asking for a code or key instructions to gain access. Was told there was a code but no code given. Then I received a text with some code but when we arrived the code would not work. I had to call into the management office but they were closed. So I had to press “2” for the emergency service but of course no answer Finally got ahold of another emergency manager for a different property area that the company manages and he was able to get us in. Ran out of toilet paper half way through the stay. Ran out of paper towels half way through the stay. No laundry detergent for the supplied laundry so off we go to the grocery store to by basic amenities for the property Also, The toaster should be thrown into the Gulf of Mexico. That thing burned everything it touched. Overall not happy and would not book again with this “rent siesta key” company. Overall the house was adequate but missing some of the basic stuff.

Thanks for staying. Classic non-reader. Every single issue raised in this review would have been either avoided or addressed had the guests simply read the information provided. We have hosted over 50,000 guests over 11 years, if our check-in process was that confusing or difficult we would not be in business anymore. Property information and check-in instructions are emailed 1 week prior to arrival, 1 day prior to arrival AND texted 3 hours prior to check-in. Again, you would need to read the text in order to know what to do with the code provided. Consumables are not provided, hence it does not show in the amenities, it is also written in the terms & conditions prior to booking, it is also stated in the "WHAT TO BRING" section of the property information guests receive 1 week prior to even arriving, we even suggest a place or two to stop by on your way to the property for provisioning. There is a control nob on the toaster to adjust temp...
