About this property

Tahoe Lodge Style Ambiance with Hottub, Sauna & Fenced Yard

IMPORTANT: The renter must sign a TTVR Rental Agreement within 24 hours of booking for their reservation to be confirmed.

The Mountain Spa Lodge is a spacious, lodge-style retreat ideal for large groups and families, accommodating up to 12 guests. Located in the Highlands neighborhood, this home exudes rustic charm with oversized rough-cut timbers framing separate living and dining areas, providing an inviting and cozy atmosphere. The lodge features a fully remodeled and well-equipped kitchen with modern appliances and ample space for preparing meals, along with a large dining area perfect for gatherings. Relax by the wood-burning stove in the expansive living room, watch your favorites on any of the 3 TVs with cable, or step out onto the sunny front deck to enjoy peek lake views.

On the main floor, you'll find a private primary suite that serves as a spa-like oasis, complete with a king bed, luxurious en suite bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, sauna, and access to natural light. Two additional queen bedrooms with a shared bathroom offer comfort and style for guests. The remodeled den provides a second living space, featuring a TV, queen bed, private bathroom, and access to the brand-new deck with a hot tub—perfect for soaking under the stars after a day of Tahoe adventures. Upstairs, the second floor includes a loft area for kids to unwind and a secluded guest room with a king bed and private bathroom, which can serve as a secondary master suite, offering privacy and flexibility for larger groups. While the newly added backyard deck provides another gathering space with a year-round hot tub and outdoor seating (available during summer) with access through a back door from the kitchen. A fenced yard makes it ideal for pets, making this home a pet-friendly haven in the heart of Tahoe.

The Mountain Spa Lodge also includes a 2-car garage with additional driveway parking for up to two more vehicles. The driveway is steep so backing in is recommended during winter months. An electric car charging outlet (240V NEMA 14-50) is available in the garage, ensuring EV compatibility with the proper adapter.

In winter, The Mountain Spa Lodge is your cozy base for all Tahoe has to offer. Located just a short drive from top ski resorts like Northstar and Palisades Tahoe/Alpine Meadows, it's a perfect spot for skiing and snowboarding. Cross-country skiing trails are only a block away so you can access the trails with ease. After a day in the snow, return to the warm wood stove and enjoy a movie night in the comfortable living area.

During summer, the lodge offers easy access to nearby scenic beaches for swimming and relaxing, as well as river rafting and extensive hiking and biking trails just steps from the front door. Tahoe City's shopping, dining, and lakefront activities are a short drive away, allowing you to make the most of Tahoe's beautiful summers.

Tahoe Time Vacation Rentals is a locally owned and operated, boutique-style company—not a large nationwide chain. As a small, family-run business, we take pride in offering a personalized, hands-on approach to hospitality. Our homes are carefully selected and located in the quieter, more scenic areas of Lake Tahoe, including the California North Shore, Olympic Valley, Alpine Meadows, the West Shore down to Rubicon Bay, and the Palisades at Tahoe ski area.

What makes our company stand out is our dedication to being here for you. As long-time locals (thirty plus years), we are always available to assist with your stay, ensuring a seamless and memorable Tahoe experience from booking to check-out. Whether you're here for adventure, relaxation, or a bit of both, we're committed to making your time in Tahoe truly special.

REQUIRED COUNTY STR PERMIT INFORMATION: STR 22-6349 | TOT #8006 | Max Occupancy is 12 | 4 Parking Spaces. Parking on the street is strictly prohibited. All vehicles must be parked in the driveway and/or garage at all times. Guest must agree to read and comply with Placer County's Good Neighbor Policies.

County Rules
As part of the Short-Term Rental Permit for this home, the county asks that we share the important rules and regulations with you. We appreciate your cooperation in following the guidelines listed below, also included in your signed Vacation Rental Agreement.

Maximum Occupancy: There shall be no gatherings, events, weddings or other group functions on the Premises with more people than the number of persons stated on the Agreement.

Parking: Parking on the street is prohibited at all times. All cars, boats, and trailers must be parked in the garage and/or driveway.

Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are 9pm-8am, seven days a week. Per the County: No sound may be audible from the property line during quiet hours. Amplified sound (such as speakers) shall not be used outside or be audible from the parcel line of any short-term rental at any time.

Lights Out: All exterior lights must be turned off that are not needed for safety or other outdoor use to the extent that such other outdoor use is not an unreasonable nuisance to neighbors at night.

Red Flag Warnings: Due to high risk of wildfire in our area, bonfires, charcoal barbecues, and wood-burning fire pits are always prohibited. On designated Red Flag Warning Days—when fire danger is especially severe due to dry conditions and high winds—all outdoor fires are prohibited, including gas grills and gas fire pits. These restrictions come directly from the North Tahoe Fire Protection District and must be followed for everyone's safety. It is each guest's responsibility to stay informed about Red Flag Warnings. They are announced on local news, radio, and social media, and you'll also see signs posted at fire stations throughout the area.

Winter Driving: Many highways, access roads, and driveways in the Tahoe area can become icy during the winter. For your safety, it's essential that between November 1st and April 30th your vehicle is winter-ready. Make sure brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater, and exhaust system are in top condition. Tires should be properly inflated with excellent tread, and you should always carry tire chains—even if you have an AWD/4WD vehicle. Double-check that your chains fit your tires and are in good working order. On many state highways and county roads, four-wheel drive and snow tires are required for safe travel.
Please be prepared for winter conditions: dress appropriately, stay in bounds at ski resorts and if you get lost, remain in place.

Garbage & Bears: Please do not feed the bears. Black bears are very common in this area and, over time, many have become used to human food and trash. Because they no longer have a natural fear of people, you may see them during your spring, summer, or fall stay. Feeding bears is illegal, and leaving food outside, trash unsecured, or doors and windows unlocked can lead to serious property damage to both homes and vehicles. To help prevent this, all waste must be placed in bear-proof bins or dumpsters and the latches secured. Placer County sorts recycling from the waste for you at our materials recovery facilities.

Office Holiday Hours
The TTVR office is closed on New Year's Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Therefore, we are unable to accommodate check-ins and check-outs on these dates. Thank you for understanding.
