Tucked in a quiet family neighborhood between Medicine Lake and downtown Minneapolis, this cozy Golden Valley space offers easy access to everywhere while still feeling like a peaceful retreat at the end of the day. Attentive, welcoming hosts and small touches—like convenient amenities and thoughtful details throughout—help guests feel cared for from the moment they arrive.

This 1-bed, 1-bath vacation rental situated in Golden Valley. is ideal for romantic getaways, solo travelers, or work retreats. This apartment boasts modern amenities, like free Wi-Fi, a Smart TV, and a fully equipped kitchen. Enjoy the flat-screen Smart TV and fast Wi-Fi so you can stream your favorite shows. Sign in to Roku's guest mode and have all of your favorite channels ready to go. Or fire up the laptop and work with ease at the provided desk. Homemade meals are made easy in the property's new fully equipped kitchen.

Great stay

So glad we found this place. I took my son to Minneapolis for a weekend of concerts, staying here was so much more relaxing and comfortable than staying downtown with the crowds. Everything we needed was provided, the place was spotless and the hosts were great.

This property is even better in person than it is in the photos, which is a rare and delightful surprise! The hosts were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. They are so communicative and provided so many thoughtful touches that made our stay more comfortable. The location was absolutely perfect, offering a peaceful and private feel while still being close to all the great shops, restaurants, and sights. Extremely Comfortable

Barbara and Jim’s unit is extremely comfortable. It has all the latest fixtures and technology, plus comfy furniture and bedding. Do note that you will need a car to get around as there is minimal walk ability.

Our families have been in Minnesota for generations, since arriving from Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Norway, Liechtenstein and Great Britain. You will see some old family photos that show some Minnesota history.

Jim has been a carpenter since the age of 13 and a remodeling contractor most of his adult life. Barbara loves family history, home-schooled some of our children and is the vice president in charge of the office and all technology for our remodeling business, Van Heel Dream Builders. We have six children between us, and nine grandchildren. We are now raising one of those grandchildren. We met each other in 1st grade!

We look forward to your visit! We are excited for you to see our brand-new Cozy Retreat. We hope you will enjoy staying here as much as we have enjoyed creating it.

We love meeting and getting to know our guests. We also love to travel, with Puerto Rico being one of our favorite places to go in the winter. Other times, we like to visit friends and family in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Toronto and Utah.

Why they chose this property

We have lived in this neighborhood since 1997! It's a beautiful, quiet neighborhood, and we never want to leave. We both grew up in the area (Robbinsdale & Golden Valley), so this is home.

What makes this property unique

We love to stay in VRBO's and Airbnb's when we travel and we have used our experience as guests to up-level everything we can about our own place as hosts. We strive to be helpful, friendly and accommodating in every way we can. We are on the property, so we are available to help whenever you need us, but allow you the freedom to enjoy your own space while you are here.
