Host profile image
A Vancouver transplant, Toronto has been home since 1977. Many changes, many travels to Asia, India and Europe but always home is here. Toronto embraces many, from many places and backgrounds which is what appealed to me about my home and from where my children grew.

Why they chose this property

Location. Location. Parking. Classic Victorian street from which you can walk to park, arts, community life, transit and universities. A mixed neighbourhood of all sorts from all places keeps vitality. Steps to great coffee, fresh local and foreign foods and the house itself is light, airy with high ceilings. Its laid out in such a way our family and friends were able to share or seclude. Great view of the skyline, especially the CN tower at night. Best of all, you can walk for everything.

What makes this property unique

Classic Victorian, urban efficiency, and view of CN tower from the deck allows you to know you are in Toronto! Benefit is park the car, take tram down to Harbourfront ferries and enjoy a day with friends, family. Rent a surrey with four wheels for cycle around Toronto Islands. Home again, feet up and relax. Or, just a few steps to explore the AGO, dine and enjoy. An easy walk to U of Toronto and OCAD and the recreation programs in Grange Park at University Settlement. What I liked best when I lived here was I could know where people were but squirrel myself off. The open plan is bright, cheerful and efficient. We were 6 plus. It was a walk to vet, a walk to the best health care in Toronto. Plus, great neighbours, not many move from here, and here I plan to retire.
