Private House close to Penn State Campus with the feeling of home
Just 12 minutes away from downtown, this three bedroom one bath house is the absolute perfect place for a family or a group of friends heading to State College.
In addition to plenty of room for guests to relax, the Stately Lion (it's what I named the house) also features a big backyard with a fire pit and if you think the way I do, a good campfire completes any weekend. Additionally, the front yard is fenced in, giving you a nice space to let your pets roam, if you bring them.
The house is on conveniently located on Route 322, which enables you to be close enough without the hassle of traffic getting out of SC.
The house has a full kitchen, living room, laundry room (in the "mudroom"), a full basement with a pool table, foosball, and other games, and a Nintendo Emulator in the living room.
The kitchen is fully stocked with tea, coffee, sugar, etc. All of the pots and pans you can imagine and even a KitchenAid, in case you want to bake.
There is AC (for the summer, great heat and an electric fireplace for the winter), WiFi, and a washer and dryer. Each bedroom has a wireless charger and an Alexa.
I'm an animal lover and know how sometimes we just can't leave our furry friends at home. Pets are welcome, if you're unsure if your pet would be allowed, please reach out. (small fee does apply)
The property does have a security system for your added protection (cameras shut off during the stay). For even more security, each guest receives a unique code good only for the duration of the stay.
This is our home away from home and we want you to feel just the same. Like you're home, at PSU. However, parties are not allowed.

Shelby was a dream guest. She was pleasant, clean, and communicated well. I highly recommend renting to her.
Came to State College for a graduation. Needed room for the whole family. This house was great! Gave us all the room we needed. Convenient location. The host was absolutely fantastic! Great communication, very accommodating to our situation. Would highly recomend this property.
The stay was great. The house was clean, newly renovated interior. Comfortable furniture and great hospitality. I would totally recommend and will definitely stay here again.
The host pulls out all the stops with the small details. Drinks, snacks, toiletries. The house was clean and comfortable. My only complaint might be the road noise heard from the bedrooms. Might be less in the winter when the air conditioning units come out of the windows. The host was easy to communicate with.
Very comfy, fenced in yard was great for the dogs. Could use a solar light at the front of the driveway. I missed it every night. lol

Thank you so much. I have a solar light, but it's clearly too small. I will see what else I can do to make it more obvious. Thank you for the feedback!
My youngest kiddo qualified for Keystones up in State College this year and we wanted to stay somewhere close. This house looked lovely and was only 15 minutes away! Being right off of the highway, you could hardly hear the noise of traffic while sleeping. Ginny was extremely kind and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and will look to book again for future trips

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay! It's my goal to make the house a home away from home.
Perfect house for our football weekend at PSU. Virginia is an excellent and very responsive host and has done a lot to make the house comfy and convenient. We would certainly go back.
Very nice property. Virginia extremely responsive and helpful. While house was just what we needed and also available for only one night which was helpful, some might say the kitchen is tight on working space. Very minor detail to otherwise a solid choice.

About the host
Hosted by Virginia Feinman
I'm a Penn State grad who fell in love, as most of us do, with the school and more importantly the family the school created. It was always my dream to have a house at PSU because after I graduated, I would find it so hard to find a good place to stay, that didn't break the bank. I want to try to pay it forward, so to speak, by giving a great place, at a good price.
What makes this property unique
Although the house is on a "main" road, it's quiet and has the feel of being in the woods, away from the Big City. It's a wonderful area which always leaves me feeling relaxed and refreshed.
