About the host
Hosted by Lidia and James
We are a family of four that love to travel and meet new people and experience new cultures. We also love history and tradition and have sought to maintain the original design of this lovely home that to us is truly Bostonian.
Why they chose this property
Bellevue Hill is a quiet, family oriented neighborhood with some stunning houses from around the turn of the 19th century. Our house was built in 1900 and retains many original features that were part of the original attraction for us. Nearby Center Street is somewhat of a throwback to the days when you could do everything locally. Within walking distance is everything from coffee shop to artisanal ice cream, where we get our bikes fixed to the business that installed new windows for us, Irish pub to Lebanese restaurant and so on. It's a proper neighborhood with all the products and services you could ever need.
What makes this property unique
It is charming Victorian house, a wonderful example of that era with high ceilings, bay windows, oak hardwood floors, foyer, reception room, when woodworking was still a craft, a triple fireplace, piano, wall art and rugs. There is no lack of character in this house!
