Light Filled "Summers' Love" Retreat

Nestled in the trees in South Eugene hilltop neighborhood. Drenched in light with 10 skylights. 2 miles from the U of Oregon. This is a quiet and serene atmosphere for you to completely unwind with all the comforts of home. And if you leave the East facing curtains open you can wake up to rainbow dancing around the room.

If you like to run, walk or explore we have access right out the door. Our place is easy to access for most mobility needs. Great for multi-generational travels.

Great spacious kitchen open to all the action, with a convection oven for baking. If there's anything you need just contact us we are across the street.

Exceptionally well mannered dog? We may make an exception. You can contact us directly & talk about it.

Please no shoes or wet gear in the house, there's space to leave outside, slippers provided. Mike recently refinished the floors so we are protective.
Please don't flush anything other than toilet paper in the toilets.
There is no maid service so you will need to pick up after yourself.

A Tranquil Place

Summer’s Love was such a wonderful place to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Tia, our host, was so kind and made us feel welcome and at home. It was the perfect retreat for our quick getaway. It was so peaceful and the hammock was great for a quick late afternoon cat nap after a long day of travel.

The name says it all!

The hosts, who live close by, brought me fresh flowers for my birthday--that says everything about Tia and Mike! The house is a marvel of design! You enter down a ramp through a bamboo forest with a rope of bright lights. DO NOT WEAR YOUR SHOES INTO THE HOUSE! Plentiful slippers are by the door. Giant gourmet, well-equipped. A/c & windows that open. W/D. Yummy glorious bedroom and AMAZING full bath with radiant heat floors. We didn't use the outdoors much, but there is ample outdoor seating front and back. We will always come back here when we visit Eugene.

Why they chose this property

This neighborhood is the best! I bought and fully renovated this house 20 years ago, it was our primary residence till last year when we started a new project across the street. All the neighbors stop and talk to each other, it's great!

What makes this property unique

This property is in the middle of a bamboo forest. There are doors from almost every room and the ten skylights, so it can feel like you are living outside.
Inside is cozy with the gas fireplace and the heated tile floors in the bathroom.
