Great house for a large group

The house was plenty big enough for our large group and the pool kept our teenagers busy for hours while we enjoyed the hot tub. Conveniently located property right next to beautiful golf course!

Great House and Host

We recently enjoyed our stay in Plantation, the house was perfect for our group and the Taylor was very easy to work with. The pool was great for the kids and plenty of room a large group. Will be staying here again when we come back! Thanks again Taylor for having us!!

Overall great place

Given that we where there during the flood times made things a little challenging but overall we enjoyed our stay. The house is very spacious and we had plenty of room. The kitchen was very nice and had everything we needed for our meals. The pool and hot tub were our favorites though. Great location close enough to the beach that it wasn't a far drive but far enough away where we could rest well at night. Overall would stay there again.

Perfect for a large group

This rental was perfect for my group. With three bathrooms it allowed everyone to get ready at the same time. The backyard is spacious and the pool and hot tub were in excellent condition. Large common room space which fit all of us comfortable. The host was super responsive and extremely helpful with all of our questions.

It's like a private motel

All of the furniture is worn. There is a lot of dusty areas, especially the ceiling fans. Some bedrooms had cockroach dropping in them, but I never saw any inside the house. The mattress are spring and the pillows are mushy, so your back will hurt in the morning. The sheets, blankets, and towels all have a lingering smell, even after washing them ourselves. None of the bathrooms have toilet paper holders. You can't tell from the pictures but the house has popcorn walls. The backyard and pool are nice, but there is no pool cover and the filter is very weak so it is always filled with leaves and bugs. The pool gets deep quick, about half of it is over 7ft. There are no hammocks like in the pictures. There is a noise ordnance in the neighborhood that really needs to be listed on the property.

Plantation Oasis Vacation House

I have to say that we were disappointed with the house as there we a number of problems during our stay. The day we arrived there was a problem with the air conditioning. Additionally when we were ready to retire on our first evening we found that there was a leak in the ceiling in one of the bedrooms and the bed was soaked. What was even more disappointing was that someone had made the bed while it was wet and did nothing about it. The sheets were soaked but the comforter was dry so they had to know when they put the sheets on that the bed was wet. The next morning we did call and the problem with the a/c and the roof were fixed and the mattress was replaced. During our stay we had a number of other issues. Two of the shower curtains kept falling down as it would appear that the curtain rods were broken. We found the pool to be less than clean. There was no way to vacuum the bottom which was quite dirty and no one ever came to service the pool or check the chemical levels. It was a nice place but we had much higher expectations for the price we paid.

most of us owned a home at one time or another and we all know that maintenance is a big part of the owner ship, as i regret that maintenance issues came up at the time of marys stay ,there was a large rain storm in the area for 2 straight days a small area in one room had a small leak that leaked on to the bedroom and leaked to the mattress . my cleaning crew missed it because the sheets dryed up allready and the edge of the mattress got wet a little, we addressed the problem by changing the mattress with a new one right away, and the roofer came at same time to complete the roof repair, at the same time the guest mentioned that the ac was not cooling enough the ac repair guy was there within the hour to solve the problem , regarding the pool before any guest checks in the pool guy does the balance and clean up of the pool, lets not forget there are trees and landscaping around the pool area with a little wind you might get some leaves in the pool , we leave a scoop net at the house for guests to scoop up if needed ,and if they call us we go and clean the pool again, we have had lots of guests in this large home and our reviews have been amazing, please dont let this maintenance issue that was solved cause you not to enjoy this amazing property for your next vacation or reunion.

I wouldn’t stay there again

Home pictures were not up to date. I was truly disappointed to see the home didn’t have any of the hammock’s, sheets were dingy and dirty , hair in the shower drains, dirty dishes in the cabinets & dishwasher. Around the pool was very slippery. I had someone actually slip and fall around the pool area. The stay is not worth the price.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! WORST PLACE EVER

Do not stay at this property as it is very falsely advertised!!! This place almost ruined the entire trip and we had people leave early and others go get hotel rooms because of how poorly taken care of this house is. To just name a few things the handle on the bathtub doesn't stay on, the bathtub take a hour to drain after someone showers, the toilet doesn't flush unless you left off the lit and pull the flapper manually (which I might add is filled with black mold). The ceiling leaks so when it rained we had to put buckets down to catch the water, some light switches are missing covers, there is exposed electrical wires in the bathroom, the plugs in the wall are falling out of the wall. There linens were washed in a washer that has black mold in it so we ended up having to go buy our own towels. They advertise that it sleeps 10 people but they only had 5 coffee mugs, and the dishwasher is broken. The host did bring us over some more plates and such so that helped but didn't address any of the other issues. The hot tub would only get to 94 degrees and their were cockroach's running through the house. In addition to all of that everything was dirty and the fridge was hard to close. This place is a complete dump. The beds are horribly uncomfortable and some of the fans in the bedrooms don't work. This would not have been a big deal but the thermostat is locked so every 2 hours or so it would adjust back warm and we had to take turns getting up in the middle of the night to turn it down. I have stayed in a lot of different VRBO's and this hands down was the worst experience of my life. I would have rather stayed at a motel 6! I have pictures of everything but it won't let me upload them. If I can save anyone from having to experience this horrible place and save their vacation by this review it has done it's job!

My stay

Our stay at this property was good. There were a few things that could be worked on. The fridge didn’t make ice or close all the way. Not a big deal but should be addressed. (We just purchased bags of ice). The bedding wasn’t in the best condition. Sheets were dirty and also had stains in them. Had to buy new bedding and also wash the ones that were on the bed because I didn’t feel comfortable laying on them in the condition they were in. There was a lot of dust build up on the ceiling fans and spider webs around the whole house. Other than those few things the property is awesome. Would recommend.

Not too shabby!

Just left this home today. I am an avid VRBO renter and I was not disappointed with my stay. Overall, the experience is a 4/5. The house is clean, the water pressure was good. There were items that were supplied there for us such as toilet paper, garbage bags, dishwasher tablets etc. Our group walked right in and started having fun. Of note- Taylor the manager let us check in early as our flights changed. That was awesome! During our stay we seen zero insects, no weird smells or any mechanical issues. As the more recent reviewers have noted, the pictures of the backyard are not accurate- landscaping wise. The front yard is very overgrown as well. However, my group and I were not there for landscape critique- we were there to have a comfortable place to stay with a pool and hot tub. The pool was fabulous and the hot tub was warm and clean. The grill fired right up and we picnicked, drank poolside and had a great time. We had a bluetooth speaker that was loud enough for us to hear- but we also respected the neighbors. We had no issues with anything. The bed I slept in was comfortable, however the bedroom with sliding door access to the pool- that bed was a bit older it seemed. It creaked a lot, almost like an old metal spring bed. My children would have slept fine- but the adults in that room did verbalize discomfort. The house has been updated, but it is an older house. It is not perfect, but we were safe and happy. The house is about 15mins to the beach, but super close to stores- restaurants and more. We had food delivered approximately 4 times daily and the variety available was great. Overall, we did have a lovely time and I would most definitely stay here again.

Overall, this property was good for what we needed it to be. I traveled here with a group of 13 college friends. The house itself was clean and spacious enough, but rather dark and dingy. The rooms were comfortable for the most part (my mattress could use an upgrade, but the others seemed comfortable). Two of the bedrooms had bathrooms, leaving only one communal bathroom for the other 9 people. The kitchen lacked amenities such as plates, glasses, mugs, etc. No salt and pepper, little paper towels, no coffee, etc. The dishwasher also did not work well and was hard to get the racks in place. The outside area was nice for the most part. The landscaping is pretty bad, and is not as it appears in the pictures. There was lots of mud/weeds and not much grass. The mud also ran off into the deck, which was uneven, so there were constant pools of muddy water in the deck area no matter how much we tried to clean it. The pool was great- it was warm, big, and clean. The hot tub was great on the first day, however was broken for the rest of the trip. Taylor came by to fix it, which seemed to work, however after that there seemed to be a problem with the filter as it turned green/yellow and stank up the entire outdoor area. Also when we got there on the first night, the hot tub was so chlorinated it destroyed my expensive jewelry and bleached a few of our bathing suits, so be careful of that. There was only one lounger and no hammock. Two outdoor tables were nice to have though, and the grill was great. The location is good. Nice neighborhood, walking distance to convenient stores, good sidewalk for running/walking. The house is about 20 minutes away from downtown Fort Lauderdale. All in all, this place was good for what it was, as us college kids weren't very bothered by these minor issues and we really enjoyed our stay. Thanks again for having us!

NOT WHAT THE PICTURES LOOK LIKE

We pulled up to the house and first impression was not great at all. The yard isn’t kept up at all. There was a full trash can with lots of flies around it also tire tracks in the yard where it looks likes someone spun out in the yard. The garden had no mulch also the plants were just everywhere. Walking into the house your first impression is alright this is nice it has been remolded. Well when you see the back yard that’s when it starts. There was a fox in the back yard and then your wondering where the back yard is in the photo. There is mold all around the pool deck. There is one lounger, the grass isn’t green around the pull deck, trees are grown out of control, the yard has more dirt then grass. Next thing the hot tub doesn’t work. If your looking for a place with a hot tub don’t choose here. Next thing the ice maker doesn’t work, you can’t open the fridge door all the way, the tiles are uneven. There was blood stains on one of the bed sheets. The couch was falling apart at the seems. Over our three days we just kept finding more and more things. Best advice to anyone not worth the money or time.

The pictures definitely need updated! The pool was warm and hot tub was a nice feature to have, but the inside was nothing like we expected and worth maybe 1/3 of what we paid for it. The dishes in the cupboards needed washed before used, appliances and mattresses needed updated , landscaping has been neglected and the contractor who did electrical work for them needs replaced. Luckily, we were close enough to everything that we didn’t have to spend much time there. I would reconsider before booking.

awful experience would never rent to Shannon again. again another guest trying to throw a party in my house ,with corvid and all bars and clubs closed lots of guests are renting homes to find a place to play their loud music at night with lots of friends and cars. we got complaints from neighbors and the police .i mentioned it to Shannon she got angry that i wasn't happy about her trying to throw a party in my house, and promised to write me a bad review, my policy is very stricked regarding parties please read all my reviews we have this home listed for more than 4 years with hundreds of happy guest.we have an amazing home that is always clean and ready for our guests to have an amazing time. thank you so much taylor

Nice home good for group of couples

Stayed in this home for my boyfriends birthday weekend with 4 other couples. When we checked in the owner originally sent us the incorrect code to get in but was quick to respond to my call with the correct code. The rooms all had queen beds however the some of the mattresses were not comfortable and should be updated. There were more than one enough towels for my group of 10. Home came with cooking utensils and pots and pans however some of the items were dirty as we pulled them out of the cabinets or drawers. The fridge was a little dirty and the door did not close all the way so we had to make sure we pushed it shut. The pool was huge and clean. And the hot tub was an excellent feature to have. There original photos showed a hammock and 2 huge shaded loungers however there was no hammock and only 1 shaded lounger, which was relaxing to lay in. The grill outside did not have propane but once we contacted the owner, he promptly apologized and brought us a new tank. Thanks for that. Overall the location of the home and privacy in the backyard was nice. If there are a few of my suggestions updated we would gladly stay here again. Thank you.

Don’t do it!

The property looks nothing like the pictures shown. Yard is not taken care of. Pool and hot tub were dirty, toilets did not flush for us and we had sewer smell our entire trip. 10 people in a house and cannot use the toilet is HORRIBLE!!! They came out and told us the septic tank was clogged and still failed to send someone out to get it fixed! Ceilings were leaking during rain as well. House smelled of mildew, and we even had to re - wash blankets when we showed up due to stale smell. The location was only 15 minutes from beach which was nice but I would choose to drive farther than deal with this house. The House is hard to find due to numbers on address missing, and there were huge spider webs all through out the front entry way. Also, due to COVID - this house should have been property sanitized which I do not believe it was. I do not recommend this house.

This guest broke every house rules in the book .had a party with more than 20 additional guests in the house .i got call from the neighbors at 2 am people partying especially with covid around they are not allowed.. used the toilet like its a garbage pale .we found so much garbage in the sewer system. Broke the hot tub .I tried to get a refund for the repairs she got angry and said if you try tocharge me I will write you the worst review ever. And thats what she did. I am really sorry but we cant be nice to a really un respectful guest. I would not have them back ever.. Taylor
