Cozy cabin with enough amenities to make your trip easy but to feel like you’re getting away from daily life. The hosts were very helpful before and during our stay. Would definitely take my family back to enjoy the nature around and on the property

We had a great stay (2 adults and 2 small dogs) and would definitely rate it 5 stars. We especially loved the seclusion, the beautiful natural setting, the big lot with pine trees, and having the Hot Springs trail right from the house. It felt peaceful, private, and perfect for a hiking getaway. The cabin was also very warm and cozy, even in freezing weather. We were surprised that we actually turned the heat off at night and opened the windows while it was 25–27F outside. The heating lamp in the bathroom was such a nice touch and very useful in the cold. I was also genuinely impressed to see a feminine emergency kit in the bathroom — that was such a thoughtful detail and showed real care from the host. The only thing I’d mention as a small suggestion is that the twin bed felt a little too small after long days of hiking. I think a queen or king bed would make the stay even better, even if it meant giving up the nightstand.Overall, we really enjoyed staying here and would happily come back.

Jemez Mountain Getaway

This cabin is nestled high in the Jemez Mountains in a small neighborhood surrounded by national forest. The trails around the cabin are excellent whether you step out of the cabin for a hike or drive to one of the many trailheads along Highway 4. The area around the cabin was very quiet during my wife and I's weeklong stay. The kitchen was well stocked for meal preparation and the cabin was quite comfortable for sleeping and lounging after a long day of hiking. I would recommend it for people wanting to get a way from busy everday life!

Sulphur Springs Weekend

This place is amazing! Not to far from Albuquerque. A perfect place to enjoy nature for the weekend. Peaceful location too... Cabin has a full kitchen set up to make them homemade meals. Full bathroom was a nice thing to have up there too. Pet friendly was a plus!! We are definitely going back to this place in the future.

Welcome from New Mexico! My wife and I share a love for aviation, nature, and the kind of off-the-beaten-path adventures that make the best memories. Our aviation backgrounds have taught us the importance of being reliable and paying attention to the details, and we bring that same approach to hosting.

We’ve traveled all over, but there’s something about New Mexico that always brings us home. From the pine-covered Jemez Mountains and natural hot springs to the cottonwoods, bosque and quiet village roads of historic Corrales, we love sharing the places that make our state special.

Whether you’re escaping to our 70s Mountain Cabin near San Antonio Hot Springs or slowing down at El Ranchito Alegre in Corrales, our goal is simple: give you a comfortable, memorable place to settle in, explore, and enjoy New Mexico at your own pace.

We live locally and are always happy to help with recommendations or anything you need during your stay.

Sean & Wendy

Mornings might begin with deer wandering through the property or elk calling in the distance, while evenings end beneath some truly incredible stars. It’s a place to slow down, explore and experience a wilder side of New Mexico.

What makes this property unique

Our 70s Mountain Cabin is more than a place to sleep—it’s a little step back in time surrounded by the Jemez Mountains. Built in 1973, much of the cabin’s original character remains, from vintage details and décor to the fireplace and unmistakable 70s personality.

Set on 4.5+ private acres bordering the Santa Fe National Forest, the cabin is surrounded by towering pines, wildlife and plenty of quiet. Relax in a hammock beneath the trees, cozy up by the fireplace, or stay connected with fast Starlink Wi-Fi when you need it.

With San Antonio Hot Springs just 2 miles away and Valles Caldera, Fenton Lake, hiking and mountain biking nearby, you can spend the day exploring and come home to cool mountain air and incredible stars.

It’s quirky, peaceful and intentionally different—a genuine 1973 mountain cabin for anyone looking to slow down and experience the Jemez.
