Oak Cottage is a historic home recently restored in the heart of Springhill, LA. Walking through the spacious rooms of the home, you feel the grandeur of its early days and sense stories that were told on the front porch under the towering oak trees. Lovingly repaired and restored in detail to its time of southern charm and hospitality. From the fine crystal and the antique furnishings, Oak Cottage welcomes guest to step back in time, listen to the songs of yesteryear on the old turntable and experience a simpler day.

Oak cottage is owned by LaMa Animal Rescue and proceeds from rentals go to support abandoned and abused animals in Webster Parish.

This was the most unique house that I’ve ever stayed in while on travel. During my stay, there wasn’t a night one that I didn’t go through the house looking to find something from my childhood. The communication with the owner was outstanding.

Great getaway!

We were in Springhill visiting with family and friends, and this was the perfect place for us. The neighborhood was nice and quiet; the house is an older home that is clean, nice, and filled with antiques. I saw many things that took me back to being a child at my grandmother’s house in Taylor. It was a great getaway and we are already planning our next trip to the area.

Relaxing Stay

Our family stayed the weekend in this home and it is full of antiques. It’s like stepping back in time in a way. My husband and I recalled items that our grandparents had in their homes. The house was very clean. The location was close to a grocery store and we were able to relax and enjoy and have much needed quality time. The owners were in communication with me and very nice.
